You should still play the game if it looks interesting to you. There will always be high level people with insane gear, but it's still fun. If you really don't want to play where there are already lots of high levels, wait until they make a new server and then start playing on that one. b:victory

The speed at which one can level is extremely variable. One can hit level 80+ in a week. For others (like me), hitting 80+ can take years. It all depends on how much time you put in, how many characters you are playing at the same time, and how much money you are willing to spend.

It also depends on your priorities. If all you care about is hitting end-game as fast as possible, this game makes doing so fairly easy. However, if you are the type of person who enjoys the journey more than the destination, then you can find things to do that will make this game last for a long time.

As for whether there are servers in Australia, I have no idea. Consequently, I would recommend trying the game out using one of the U.S. West coast servers .....like .... ummmmm ...... maybe Sanctuary b:cute b:chuckle

If you quest and ask ppl the right questions without annoying ppl you will find ppl are very friendly ... but as for lvling .. play the game .. it takes less then a week to get to lvl 40 if u do ur quests .

I should note that the new Genesis expansion is expected to be released in February, so there will be a lot of new level 1 players shortly trying out the new seeker and mystic classes. I'm sure some of them will be especially appreciative of another cleric or barb, if you happen to choose either of those classes.

Oh, and no, there are no Australian servers. There are only West and East coast USA servers. See the Servers entry of the PWI wiki for more information on the different servers if you need help choosing one.

Judging a class to be "good" is very subjective, and comes down to whatever selective criteria you decide to use. All classes are "good" at certain things....and not so "good" at others.

What I can tell you though is that the most wanted classes, generally speaking, are barbs and clerics.

As for mounts, you can either buy one using real life money from the game boutique or make in-game money with your character(s) and buy one from another player (there are usually several in the auction house for sell at all times).

there is no point waiting for new server...once rich people will get to level 30 they will start oracle and in few weeks u will see many llv 80-90 people while most r at their 50-60, so if u like the game then just play it

every class is good. it all depends on how u play. i wasted much time on lvling a claric to lvl 60 and found out i suck -.- no lol seriously..if u like to stand on battleground after a uber heated battle and don't care about misses and heavy repair bill go BARB, if u like to miss less but still not be squishy go BM.. for SIN if u like to play dirty(Don't mind about words) and attack u r enemy from shadows then goo for it.. every class is good just found out which suits u.

for mount buy it from cash shop or from other players. and u won't get it as a reward if u were thinking that..

Just adding to what Kleon said, you can also buy a mount from an NPC (think it's called Pet Manager - not sure) for a few million coins. She sells the not glowy black and brown horses.

But you can usually find cheaper/faster mounts than that in the Auction House.

You can buy them from the Boutique as well for real money ($1 = 100 zen = 1 gold = 100 silver), but it's often cheaper to trade the gold for coins using the Gold Trading option at an Auctioneer, and then buying the mount from the Auction House.

I figured i'd clear up the server question some. There may not be an aussie server but you'll be able to play just fine. I play on Sant. and i've played with a few people from out your way and they got just as good of speeds as i did and i live not far from the server origin. If server speeds was what you was worried about then no need to worry. b:victory

you'll only have the normal horrable lag that the rest of us get regardless.. b:laugh

Unless you're on a PvP server and standing near Silver Pool or Heros Tomb, you shouldn't care how powerful the other players are. If you're on a PvE server, you ca njust focus on killing NPCs and go at your own pace, no matter how slow that pace is.
