Why Carry?

I know this is a subject of great debate and I have searched through many pages to find an answer to my question without resolve so please don't scold me for asking this.

I have been approached a couple of times and asked if I can be carried and have no idea *why* someone wants to carry me. lol I am a cleric and can fly and my little legs carry me just fine. I saw in one post that it helps build Chi?

If there is a legitimate, sensible reason for it then fine but if it's just to be carried by a handsome guy (or whatever) then I'll pass. lol

    Yes, most of the people are carring the rest for chi.
    Some are carring people because ... because they want to.
    Other carry people and pm them "Ohaider smexy b:dirty "

    Same reason why people meditate for MP instead of using MP food or embrace for chi instead of using chi pots.

    Otherwise they just want to get intimate with you lol (yes you, you trannies :P).

    I've known people who have picked up low level characters and then flown off...just to drop them on a world boss, or in a lake, or somewhere random lol. not very nice, but it happens.

    usually its for free chi though.

    Oddly enough, I haven't gotten harassed that much by pervs, though I have been a few times.

    Purely for Chi, as stated by many people. A lot of higher levels do this frequently if not in PK-mode. Quick chi for a duel, or whatever they need. It only gets creepy when the press the "Embrace" button after, and begin making out w/ your toon.

    ..Once I was grinding on my barb (he's 3x, I quit him ages ago) and some bluename came up to me and began bugging me about my stuff. She then goes 'Fly me to Archosaur!' and tries to embrace me. Of course, I pick her up, then deposit her right over the Cenminator b:chuckle

    Let us not forget that clerics run slow.
    And the standard wings are far slower than most peoples CS'd wings/mounts.

    Carrying is a good way to get around for a low level character without their aerogear.

    When my veno was level 7, she had to be carried out of a high level village...Couldn't walk out, since the mobs are all very aggro, lol.

    If its a random embrace w/o warning, i deny them. If they ask nicely, i grant them the embrace. Other than that, no kissing the Wolf.

    Mob dodging is fun. It was a blast running my second veno all the way from City of the Lost to Snowy Village.
