You contradict yourself. You cant say someone MUST do something, and then say unless. So either everything you say behind the word unless isnt right, or you dont HAVE TO pay.

The point about speaking in English is to at least use complete words even if the grammar isn't perfect. Since you do have a basic grasp of the English language as is evident by your posts, it wouldn't take that much effort to run a spell check or a translation tool. Not everyone is bored with pwi. Not everyone is in it for pvp (just look at the ration of pvp to pve servers) and there are many ways to be OP in pve.

You are entitled to your opinion. The problem that others are having is that they feel that you are thrusting your opinion on them. That part is not allowable. Whether or not it is worth it to play the game is a decision that must be made by the individual and not one that is forced on them.

The distinction needs to be made between “OP” gear and comparable gear. It is good to have gear that is near impossible to obtain so that players have something to work towards (Jungle Ruins belt maybe?). On the other hand, since packs and bh’s have been introduced, the overall quality of gear has gone up. When I first started playing, TT gear was nearly unobtainable as there were no high levels who could farm the gear. Some people went after molds but since relatively few people killed the fb bosses, molds were rare and relatively expensive. For the average player, you went off drops and what you crafted yourself. I remember sitting at the tailor for hours trying to make gear with +vit/+str adds and such.

Hercs were introduced and the real power house of farming TT for mats to _sell_ and not to use started (some existed before hand, but not to the extent). Packs were introduced and became a gambler’s potential short cut to epic gear while adding mass amounts of tokens to the economy making things such as mp/hp food easily accessible. This made items such as charms less of a requirement. Imagine being a cleric trying to keep up BB with no charm and no HY for an extended period of time. It’s possible, but much more difficult and potentially expensive.

So yes, there is more “OP” gear than there used to be. But what many people fail to realize is that everyone became “OP”. Sleeves of the Sea Captain used to be considered hard to get, but now they’re so common no one thinks twice when they see them.

Granted, there is definitely a skew between the rich and the average. But those who are rich are not always there because they swiped a credit card. Some of the richest people I know in game are excellent merchants who have never spent a RL dime.

Now if you think about the Rank sale, it actually helped to even the playing field a bit. It narrowed the gap between those with “pack gear” and those without. As someone who farmed rep for a long time, getting rank 8 through farming is doable but impractical. If you bought the badges before the rank sale, they would have cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of 125k-150k for each badge (HT prices). Now, 30k for a single badge is expensive. This certainly makes Rank 8 an appealing option for the more casual player. They now have a way to compete with those who went for nirvana/TT100/TT99 gear. In most cases, I don’t think the Rank gear is as good, but at least these players have a slightly standing than they did before.

There will always be a split between the rich and the poor. As long as you have people, that’s the way it is. Someone will always be “OP” and someone will always have been “nerfed”, but it’s all perspective. One person/class being OP doesn’t inhibit you from playing the game and getting enjoyment out of it.

Whether it was unfair in the past or not is irrelevant. We can debate that point until the moon turns neon pink. It would be more unfair to remove certain things now that they have been implemented.

It cost 82 USD to get Rank 8 when the sale came out. There were threads that went into detail about how expensive it was to go to Rank 9 (cost of 100k more rep; chips; tokens). Rank 9 is incredibly expensive and few people go that high. There are some, of course, but it’s not the norm. Neither is +12, which is also expensive. (50-75 USD for a single 10* D.orb is quite a bit. Consider how many you’d need for 11* and 12* and then for multiple items.)

Realistically, very few people cash shop that much. Some do, but generally it’s the merchants that become OP.

Why won’t they? I got to Rank 7 from grinding/merchanting pre-sale. I know others who got to Rank 8 before I made it to 7. Although cash shopping normally increases wealth, wealth is not dependent on cash shopping.
