I have a playlist in the 5 digits, and songs played in the 6 digits. Music is an every day thing for me. Since I have way too many songs I'll just point out common genres of what I listen to and maybe a few examples:

    - Industrial Rock/Metal (KMFDM, Ministry, Kovenant, GZR, NIN, Drown, Bile)
    - EBM [Electronic Body Music] (Front Line Assembly, Front 242)
    - Progressive Rock/Metal (Opeth, Tool, Green Carnation, Dream Theater, Flotsam & Jetsam, Porcupine Tree)
    - Power Metal (Kamelot, Stratovarius, Battlelore)
    - Electro-Industrial (Skinny Puppy, :wumpscut:, Die Form, Decoded Feedback)
    - Heavy Metal (Metallica, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, Megadeth)
    - Futurepop Industrial (And One, VNV Nation, Rotersand)
    - Darkwave Industrial (Faith & The Muse, Diary of Dreams, Project Pitchfork, Xymox, Switchblade Symphony, The Cruxshadows)
    - Coldwave Industrial (Chemlab, 16 Volt, Deadstar Assembly)
    - Aggrotech Industrial (Combichrist, Psyclon Nine, Tactical Sekt, X-Fusion)
    - Gothic Metal (Anathema, Tristania, Type O Negative, Xandria, Tiamat, Lacuna Coil)
    - Symphonic Metal (After Forever, Darkane, Epica, Nightwish, Therion)
    - Video Game Music (FFVII-FFXI, Brave Fencer Musashi, Goldeneye 007, NHL 97-2003, Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3 + Knuckles, GTA San Andreas, Quake 1-4, RE 1-3, Super Metroid/Metriod Prime)
    - Movie soundtracks (Bourne trilogy, 15 Minutes, Snatch, Faust, xXx, Matrix trilogy)

Then there's stuff I randomly hear and listen to a lot like Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Rinocerose, X-Ray Dog, Graeme Revell, E.S. Posthumus, and so on.

Lately it's been an awful lot of Saltillo, Portishead, and Bangguru. I'm not gonna post links because this way people will have to actually put effort into judging my taste in music (unless they've heard of it). Speaking of things you've all heard of:

Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney, Gaga, Pink, Christina... I happen to like pop. A lot.

Also, drum solos (no, not that kind; the kind involving doumbek) so I can dance while I autopath somewhere or meditate (two birds, one stone).

Beats Antique, because they have a good mix of slow and fast. I get tired when I listen to too much at either pace.

Oh, and of course, folk. Especially **** folk rockers. Melissa Etheridge, Melissa Ferrick, Ani DiFranco, Brandi Carlile...

    ...I'm slightly musically ADD.

    *long list*

Is it scary that for every category you list I recognize at least one (if not more) of those groups, plus most of your randoms?

PS: Try Machine Vandals, they're awesome.

Not listening to particular song. I have all the tunes on my Winamp's playlist and it's just playing em all randomly. Hardcore, hip hop, beatdown, classics, dubstep etc. etc. (:
