Is it possible to be a melee fox with a pet? Reason I ask this heehee is me standing back casting is boring me to death :(. I start dozing off and eventually log. I'm 10% from level 22. What gear/build would I use? Or should I just continue the way I am. I'm a arcane veno right now. Just curious as to how different it is using fox more for melee and debuffs than casting. :) Is glacial walker still usable while doing this? Thankies!! b:cute

Just because you're in fox form doesn't mean you shouldn't use a pet. Your pet is still there, your pet heals still work.

If you put lots of points in things other than magic, your pet heals will be weaker than a pure magic build - but they will probably be good enough.

One of my veno alts has been a HA/AA user from level 1 (currently 79.) My strategy has been to collect -req heavy armor and +dex/+str ornaments, and keep my mag at/near the minimum for magic weapon her level.

As for the build, if you wanna go melee, your best bet is heavy or light. At your lvl you should go for light though, heavy is really hard to handle at this lvl because you'll lack skill points and cannot get many stat bonuses from gear yet. So yeah, go light atm, and heavy if you want by lvl 80+, I'd say. There's some nice guides about melee venos and heavy builds that are stickied, you should read them for more info. As it has been mentionned, your pet heal will indeed be weaker than arcane venos, though at higher lvls, the gear you use can make a huge difference and you'll be able to compensate with magic bonuses from gear and/or channeling from ornaments if you decide to go for magic ones.

I decided to go ahead and stick with my arcane build. I may start a LA/HA veno when I'm more experienced on how to distribute stat points ect. heehee As I'm still learning this big game I'll stick with easy road for now. ^^ Thankies for all the replies though.

I am currently running/using the HA/fox/arcane veno build. The thread i made has the stat points you need at level 15, 20 so far. I will have 25, 30 up by the end of the weekend. Just if you wanted to look. But yes, it is very hard and takes a lot of patience and AH browsing.

I've gathered some materials such as 100+ Pig iron, 50+ Cotton thread, some red jades ect. Should I start crafting or is it necessary as a veno. Is there more money to be made by selling the mats or by crafting gear. There are people in my faction who craft heehee ^^. Reason I was asking. But at level 21 I'm sitting at about 300k coins and climbing. I've been selling herbs I don't use on the ah and certain gear that I pick up. Thankies!! b:cute
