Wizard class: to be extinct

Well, we all know that with the current aps/r8,9 OP class, wizard is still pretty much wanted in FF , RB for farming and leveling because wizard's DB is still unique and powerful in such dugeons.

As seeker class arrive , I am afraid that wizard class will be really dead because of seeker AOE skill is really gonna be OP : it works the same as DB, but its interval only 1.5 sec (DB has 3 sec interval). Moreover, seekers wear HA which means they will survive better in RB or big lure in FF. Not to mention, seekers have many usefull buff for squad and themselves, along with better graphic skills . Lastly, they have skills which allow them to spot sins in pvp.

b:thanks well yeah I dont think mystic will replace wizard , seekers may, in my opinion.

    And watch mystics have some hard hitting 2 spark ultis to replace wizzes in TW

    by randoms yeah we will more or less be extinct except to the few who dont care, but if ur faction is an actual supportive faction, and ur freinds really are freinds, youll never be extinct

    i agree, earthguard class will probobly take that last little bit of usefullness we have somehow retained. i cant wait to see a wiz, who hasnt been on for like 7 months, get on after the genesis expansion and wonder, "WTF are all the other wiz?"

    Then I'll see which one I use.
    Now I have a wiz for TW, a BM to farm **** .... a seeker to pwn would be a good addition.

    I loved to play wizard. It's very nice class, not boring. On p. server I played every class except veno, but wizard is the best. I don't regret time what I spent with him. I'm just sad what the dev. did to this class. It's a shame.b:sad

    I never played a wizzy to be the most uber usefull thing in an instance.

    I would have made an archer than if I wanted DD (back when archers were DDing with bows, barbs were tanking, and Bm's were only picked for stun and HF. O right and TB were still locked behind the ocean)

    now come to think about seeker def lvl buff: lol it just gonna make it hard for wizard to oneshot ppl if they got def lvl buff b:laugh:b:dirtygotta make seeker to boost my def lvl for pk b:victory

    wizard so far was indeed the most fun class i played. And I played both Archers and BM on private servers, I have a 4 aps BM on PWI too.
    Wizard can still be a kicka$$ class, but you need to take it to the next level.

    look at this thing http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=5a53464443329364 and it's not even that hard to get if you have a bit of cash or a 4-5 aps class to farm with.
    Making 20mil coins/day is still viable and it will be even easier to make that amount after expansion.

    well, it is.
    but like i've said, not impossible.
    90+ attk lvl, 75+ def lvl.

    I don't know how much it costs to get all the badges and stuff you need for R9, but once there, a build like this isn't far away. Rank is not on sale now, but will be after the expansion at least.
    I've seen already a lot of ppl stacking up on DoD and I'm pretty sure I will see a R9 seeker probably in the first week after launch...well ...that if they release the r9 gear for the new classes.
    Add a 30% def increase from seeker buff, and you have +100% def, +90% attk.
    That will be all that matters.
    Attk lvl and def lvl will be the new norm.

    I wouldn't for 1 simple reason: The extra pdef coming from the lunar.
    I wouldn't use the r9 ring at all as a caster, but that 5% def lvl is actually worth it.

    Probably it's not even possible. You cannot have 2 rank rings. The old one always disappear and it replaced with new rank ring. You have to have previous ring in your inventory, when you rank up. Or this rank 9 is different?

    You can have both rank 8 and 9 ring at the same time.

    WEll, as for this build , I heard taht its been tested that def lvl is capped at 60...

    Also, I am moreconcerned about new comer that is going to pick a class to play rather than ppl who have reached to high lvl. And not every1 will likely be able to farm 20m/day, not any1 can do this.

    It will cost around 3k4 usd if you CSed the above build btw , i have garnet and vit stione on head and cape instead of Josd so i only got 58 def lvl : +11 r9 weap sparked BT does around 6k-7k to me woot!!! Yeah, so it will be very hard for decent gears :+10 r8 to oneshot ppl if they got def lvl buff on : this is one of the reason why seeker cause wizard to be a bad choice to play in pwi

    defense level itself isnt capped at 60 (my voodoo gives me 66 xd); but after 60 u get severe diminishing returns. i would rather get 10k hp and then shard josd.
    why vit stones? it's 10 vit = 100hp +~4pdef while citrines are 115 and are cheaper o:

    I had a pwcalc of evanera in one of my tabs and for the hell of it I changed 4 citrine gems to vit stones.. which lowered hp by 60 and gave 110 pdef and 230 mdef (only buff was sage stone barrier) IMO vit stones are better than citrines if you neglect the cost difference.

    hum my fault, a vit sone gives ~25pdef
    so 25 pdef + 100hp vs 115hp, yes sounds better

    mdef is also worth mentioning imo. It's actually pretty easy to have more pdef than mdef as a mage because of stone barrier, and when that happens you are actually more squishy to magic than physical (lol obvious). The only reason most people used to ignore mdef when looking at survivability was because they weren't able to get even close to equal resists back in the day (low lvls + end game gear much more difficult to come across). Today survivability is measured in hp, pdef, mdef, and def lvl.

    in the end all classes not 5aps or played by people that buy r9 set are going to be useless.all other classes are struggling to make nirvana gears as it is if new forges need nirvana to exspand thats it there all done.

    Before clerics and venos would go along but barbs wiz pschy would not get squads.then clericcs got put aside now they are doin 4 man runs no veno.

    250 cannies for 1 peice gear times 6 45 min per run all other classes would take 675 hrs now add in the 1 hr it takes to find people and get a squad as it seems. aprox 2175 hrs and yes other classes can have a full nirv set thats just 272 days straight play lol.press O or GTFO if any class but 5 aps.imagine if new forges gear takes nirvana to upgrade and its as good a diferance as nirv compared to tt99.In 1 year all the 5 aps will have new gears high refined rest r9 refined .so all other clases will be obsolete.

    thx for the info, and i got vit stone since be4 r9 come out on my cape so i dont wanna replace it =D. I got 9k hp unbuffed and 58 def lvl , 9k5 phydef with demon stone barrier and 14k5 phydef 16k magdef fully buffed , so far it works great with the def lvl i have , so im pretty happy with itb:dirty

    Well, as the matter of fact nirvana is not the only place to farm in. Remember, you can famr DQ (r9) , merchant, Rebirth, TT (2-3) , 99 key quest nirvana, tiger event, DT, City of AB, Tournament, Jungle of ruin, Bounty Hunter, World boss, mini world boss, OHT mats farming...b:thanksstop complaining if you dont have patience like me jsut CS it lol

    3-4 months to farm fine I can do that not the issue 10-12 mnths diferant story when by the time you get there its obsolete.funny with the farm r9 380k dq points for just the ring divide that by 35 the top dq point for an item your insaine you think its farmable with dq points.with gold rate you need 1,280,000,000 coin if the sale was on still for r9 set.with out your looking at 3.4 billion or so.who knows see where it goes with the exspansion but with people that have endless credit cards ones left to farm are pretty much on a serious uphill battle.and yes I farm and dont hit O button.

    since your not on a pvp server like this one you wouldnt know event are worthless just pvp event.COA rulled by 5 aps and r9's only ones ever get anything. bounty bunter are you serious. TT not worth farming noone buys the useless **** they drop and 3rd act delvp well need say more there.

    b:laughi kinda noe wut u talking abt cpz i logged on LC once to see how archo event go and all i see is mobs runniong around and lots of ppl in sz. Comon i mean why are ppl scared of pk if they choose to play in LC in the first place . I find its very funny.

    I think you guys are forgetting a key thing here.

    Wizzie=arcane. Most wizzies have enough pdef to rival a BM's when fully buffed. They can take phys attacks (within reason) and magic attacks in RB.

    Seeker=heavy armor. We don't know much about their defenses other than they'll have decent pdef but **** for mdef and probably some defense levels. They'll live a little longer with their pdef for sure, but there are still some magic mobs in RB.

    Read: You'll be fine. I'm almost tempted to roll a seeker just to see how I'd survive as a heavy armor class since the only thing I've played up to this point is arcane (and a little bit of LA thanks to my sin).

    Its not that the ppl who playing wizzy gonna quit playing it. It is the new comers who gonna pick other class but wizzy.
