Fist/axe with int gear seems to be the norm for tank bms right now, fist for bosses, axes for mob piles. :/

takeing the damage comes from refines mostly

min str and dex for fists and axes rest to vit as a tank build...its not hard to have 8k+hp at 99-100 with +5 and flawless with that setupb:surrender

also dude...stickied axe guide...are you blind?
Gifs are hard to make work here

you may have read them but you didn't pay attention. I suggest going back and taking a second look at Lyndura's guide.
but according to her guide if you would have read it you need 6 strength 1 dex every two lvls which leaves you with 3 spare points

if you want to go axe/fist I believe 3str 2 dex is the appropriate stat.

Then why are you asking for a guide?
looking for one that tells me what level i should raise what skill.
If you said this from the start you would have had your answers much faster. I've seen guides like that so just use the almighty search button or go back a few pages into older threads

Axes require 3 strength per level an .5 dex. This gives you 1.5 stats to play with and "do things your own way". I'd recommend adding it all to dex but you don't sound like hitting things or damaging things or using fists is what you're into.

As far as being a tank, axe only builds have some of the lowest damage output in the game. Probably the lowest damage of any class and build except for vit barbs, which have aggro skills for tanking. So, you will probably never tank as a axe/vit. That's a fist BM's job. We DD till we have aggro and then hold it with damage. Since we have HA which refines well we can tank almost any boss near our level even after reseting vitality down to 3.

Bottom line is we are DDers that tank sometimes. We are brought into squads to DD (which usually means fists), our pdef buff, and a few skills we have like HF (an axe skill). Axe/vit builds are great for TW but not needed much in pve. Yes you will be able to take more dmg this way but you won't have aggro of a boss often, unless everyone else has been killed first.

So, the skills to level as an axe bm in sort of an order are:
Golden Bell - max, squadmates will love you for pdef buff
Roar of the pride- Max, our aoe stun, a main reason for having a bm. Higher levels mean longer stun length, shorter cooldown.
Diamond Sutra - Lvl 1. Only need lvl 1 for a while because you get the "bulk" of the heal with just lvl 1 (20% hp + xxx hp overtime, The xxx goes up with levels but the 20% is what you want.)
Axe Mastery - Max as soon as you can. A big deal about axes is spike dmg, they have a large range of dmg. You can have high regulars higher than your low crits. Axe mastery is free damage and will help with that
Aeolean Blade - lvl 5. This will be replaced by RotP and later Drake Bash, but you get this skill earlier and it doesn't require chi to cast. Higher levels mean a greater chance to stun.
Magic Marrow/Physical Marrow - Lvl 5. Very useful to use, but more important to learn how to use. Will cut down on hp potion costs alot. Lvl 5 is fine for a long time.
Cloud Sprint - Lvl as you feel like it. Just useful to move faster
    Axe Skills
Heaven's Flame- Max as you can afford it. Most important squad skill, as well as most expensive.
Drake Bash - Max casually. Useful for stunlocking a mob combined with aeolean blade and RotP. Big downside is it costs a spark, but has great 1 hit dmg. More important if pvping.
Highland Cleave, Fissure, Drake Sweep, Fan of Flames - These are your Aoe's. I'd recommend leveling them together for cost/dmg efficiancy. FoF is frontal aoe only but you get it earlier and it gets replaced so don't level past 4 or 5. I also recommend leveling them in that order.

A few more "you should know"s. Axe specific skills start at 29. All path Bms can use 42 skills, axe bm's can only use 26. Axe bm's have the most expensive hp pot and mp pot usage because it takes them longer to kill mobs, they get less chi per kill for self-heal skill, and because their damage output is based mainly on skill spamming. Fists/sword users do more dmg by auto attacking/sparking.

A good site for researching BM skills is http://www.ecatomb.net/pwi/skillpwi.php
The guide I wrote for all path BM covers each path in detail and is here

I'd recommend using the pdf link at the top, its easier to view. G'luck
