Having Difficulty with Sin in low levels

My sin is currently lv.21 and I'm having an extraordinarily difficult time leveling her.

My stats are STR 21, VIT 12, DEX 109 and MAG 5.

I have the standard gear and weaponry that you get from completing quests. It's nothing special at the moment. I've kept my skills as updated as possible.

My trouble comes from my complete lack of survivability. I don't have trouble killing mobs, but I find my 780ish HP is extremely insufficient and mobs take chunks out of me 100HP at a time. I'm very, very quishy and am wondering if this is just a normal thing that I'll need to compensate for with pots and apothecary medicines or if I am doing something wrong.

Was exactly the same for me, All i did was meditate in between every single mob. And btw your build looks nice ^^

Things get much easier the higher you get, especially after bloodpaint (although it starts out weak). Your best bet, when you get them, is to spam Rib Strike, quaff lots of HP pots, and, once you get Tackling Slash, spam that and sparks to drop mobs as quickly as possible.

At those levels, I'd always Puncture Wound --> Slipstream --> Auto-attack. Trust me, I almost quit because I had an 80 Blademaster when the Tideborn expansion came out, and was horrified by how much damage I was taking on my Sin. My BM is still 80. My Sin is 91 and climbing and can survive sh*t I wouldn't dare consider on my BM.

Also, cap Rib Strike/Focused Mind whenever you can. Both of those are invaluable for damage mitigation in PVE.

You actually want your level +4 worth of strength to wear the most up to date light armor. So at level 22 you want 26 strength. It is alot easier to make adjustments like that now...so when you do get that next piece, you can wear it as soon as you hit the right level.

It will get easier, I promise. But it does take a while. Bloodpaint will help, and then help even more when you start doing more damage. It just takes time. One day you'll realize you've stopped struggling, you are walking away from mobs with nearly full health, and you can kill things faster than your friends.

Stick it out if you can, its totally worth it. Being a high level sin is lots of fun. Make sure you level Dagger Devotion as soon as you are able to, Rib Strike is very much your friend, and I never used Focused Mind at low levels (and I forget alot now lol) but I wish I had. It helps more than you'd think it would.

You could always pay one of the sin's that posted here to solo a FF run for ya :P

Current price of charms for HT is like 2-3.2 mil. So if you can afford somewhere in that range, most of the sins would be glad to help ya.

Like the others said before me, you will cry on hp pots during lvling to lvl 34 when you learn bloodpaint. Keep going its worth the pain.

At lvl 34 you will feel better but not perfect, less hp pots used but still a lot.

At lvl 59 : welcome in the real world of sins. Weapons starts to be efficient so bloodpaint does + second spark (more damages + 10% hp recovering) definitely cover up the damages you can take.

At lvl 89 : you just spit at the face of the mobs, laughing at them when they try to inflict you damages but too bad 3rd spark + weapons + -int gear becoming to appear is enough to keep you alive... mmmh not alive! just full hp everytime :D.

I used to die a lot when my sin was in her 20's, but as soon as you get bloodpaint, things start to change. Keep it up ALL THE TIME. It saves a pretty penny on HP pots (but I use quite a bit of MP pots) and I hardly die, unless there are 3 mobs on me or I get distracted. Also, spam splitstream and rib strike as much as you can.

Wow, no one mentioned this and it blows me away! The Tideborn Islands are LOADED with golden herb and nectar! 15 nectar 10 golden herb = 5 life powder @ 10 mins each = 50 minutes of hp regen. I am having NO problem with health doing those quests outside Arch. Maybe it's cause I'm older (over 30) and have learned some patience, but grinding those mob kill quests is a breeze just for spending some time farming herbs. I don't need to use a pot unless I get attacked by multiple mobs.

    My 2 cents.

P.S. I still have over 6k left on my lvl 4 health charm. Not saying I'm l33t but seriously, make use of the resources around you.

I completely forgot about life powders, but I also used them on both my BM and my Sin to great effect. I've never stopped to meditate in this game once unless I was afking anyway.

Yeah, I would agree to the Life powder's point. I got by without them on a BM, but they REALLY help an Assasin. Throw those on, and your HP problems are a thing of the past. Those + Slipstream crits made me think who ever said sin's where a ***** to level was crazy.

Also, after hitting 29, you can (pretty much) Perma-spark, and that does wonders to your DPS.

life powders are godly. Hp pots = win. Now go forth and level young grass hopper b:bye

A sin level 100 told me that sins really good after level 60 than they shine at high level. But, At low level they are a bit squishy. Anyone can confirm this?

Yes, we're so squishy I died one time between 1-30. My wife came into the room and I had to alt+tab in the middle of a fight to avoid a RL death.

Life powders are the best thing to use as a young player... easy to farm for matts. you can always put a little extra pts into vit and str early on to help with the physical damage and hp loss seeing you reallyl dont get a lot of crits as a young player. but a sin imo is one of the easiest characters to lvl when you have those life powders

as far as a sin becoming better after lvl 60... there is some truth to this i think... sins live with the crit hit... i have a 20% crit rate atm and its nice... i think in the 60's i had a 17%... but when you get 3 crit hits each at 4 to 5k in one mob that guy goes down fast... also i get 40-60 hp each hit in BP back so thats nice also...

@Malkomod I'm experiencing this hands on. I had a lot of leftover Event gold, so I bought a 350k hp charm for my early levels. My sin's squishy-ness ate the charm like termites eating delicious wood O.o...

But now that I'm level 64, I noticed killing mobs is much easier. I notice that after I kill a mob, my health is still maxed from BP, or very close to it. Using sin skills and tactics help a lot to.

And I'm just 1.54 APS. I can imagine how 4/5 aps will keep you at full health at all times.

    What Miss_Crit said.

Thou shalt go forth and gather the nectar of the earth and the herbs of gold. Take thine bounty and from them shape the powders of life. Thou shalt be the wrathful hand of PanGu descending to lay waste to thine enemies.

get a bow u can use a bow to get about 3 hits before mob gets close then quickly change to daggers (bow hits almost as strong as daggers normal attack)
(you can put both weapons on bar like there where skills or pots to change fast)
and add a bit more strenght you probably have armor about 10 lvls below mobs use current lvl Light Armor i was having same problem they gave me this tip b:victory
