I absolutely love venomancer O.O!

Ok now thats out of the way. Let me share an experience I had with my glacial walker. I was to do a quest next to where I did my fb19. I had to fight these dogs. Well these dogs were not ordinary mob. They had 7k health and I didn't notice that until I accidently got ones attention. But I stayed calm and used my wow intuition lol(Played a hunter on wow for about 3yrs). I know the classes are different but in some ways they are the same. Anyways I used my glacials roar on the first mob and had him attacking the second. I was spamming heal like crazy!

After his defense buff kicked in I activated it immediately and finally he downed the first wolf. While he was fighting the second wolf I'd use my skill that dropped his defense by a % for 12 seconds along with heal. I killed them both as a barb was watching me lol. He asked me if I could help him with killing them as well. I fealt really good after that. I'm more alert now. Just because the veno is the easiest solo class doesn't mean your veno won't get into trouble. Now I am always scrolling my camera looking 360 degrees. Plus I keep my glacial walker on defensive as I'm moving incase I aggro a mob.

I am currently 21 and fixing to go to archosaur and start quests there(after I farm a bit more haha). One thing I have noticed is some mobs will aggro and others will not. That is strange. But I just wanted to share that with you and wonder if you all have ever gotten into a situation such as this where you had to think quick and came out with a win. b:pleasedb:victory

    Welcome to the world of the venomancer , u just realised the capabilities of a tank pet. I also did the same on the wolfs for this quest and soloed my first fb 19 at lvl 33 ( i wanted the next lvl of pet heal , could have done it way earlier). ( dont have walker now anymore though)

    As for archosaur , yes some mobs will aggro u for jsut getting near them , later , all mobs are like that so be careful.

    The only thing i would like to give as a true tip is always keep ur pet ( at least ur tank pet ) , the same lvl as u , this way it will always be able to counter w/e **** is attacking u. Also , if u dont already get a second pet for doing big damage ( lvl 2 scorpion , darkbreed wolf , dark wanderer) , it will be really useful for killing bosses that u dont tank urself . ( Provided u have enough pet slots).

    For pet slots start doing the quests u het fro mthe pet trianers and require food. all together will grant u 5 pet slots , the rest 5 are opened wit hcages ( boutique item)

    Again , enjoy ur venomancer , try more things , and ull see that there are a lot more to love for this class ^^ .

    in the left corner of your screen you have 4 small icons .. when the last 1 is is on allowes you to see mobs as white-grey dots on the minimap , that helps a lot to avoid them :D

    Later also one thing it helps is buy pet levels at skills because they increase the dmg% of a pet and keeps agro on him. For example I'm arcane venom got a cristal magmite and around lvl 60 I keep on stealing agro from pet. at lvl 60 I increase Bash to lvl 4 and was ok. Now I'm lvl 72, with tt70 weapon and my 300+ mag... I started again steal agro from few lvl ago, after the third hit the mobs run at me. I'm hopeing at lvl 80 to make bash max and fix the problem... for a time b:chuckle

    Later on all mobs will agro, yu will get used to it after a while and get better in avoiding them or reacting faster with sending your pet to it.
    I also have the mobs turned on on my minimap as Anthemyra said. This helps a lot on avoiding them while doing quests ^^

    Also at lvl 30 you will get your free flying mount, that way you can travel without getting nasty mobs on you :) (unless you don't fly high enough and hit some airmobs ofc :x )

    Welcome to life as a veno, and good on you for paying attention and using all your pet skills to best effect.

    I know full well the wolves you mean - it's worth noticing that they have little twiddly bits on the edges of their textbox when you target them - that's a warning that they're much harder than their level would suggest. You'll be seeing it a lot later on :)


    Practicing quickly saving other people using your pet is a very good skill to learn. Good on you, you're well on your way to being an honoured and trusted squad member.

    yup, that's why the glacial walker's such a great tank. make sure too that you learn how to lure; it can help you avoid situations where you'd otherwise get jumped by more than one mob, and it's one of the things venos do better than anything else in the game.

    That barb that asked you for help, you may be asking for many more times in the future. Venos start out OP, but a lot changes in higher levels, and when we start building on longer lasting equips.

    i still have my glacial walker, he is my main battle pet. of course i dont heal him in battle because he is either away from me killing his own thing and i am killing my own thing b:chuckle plus if i am in a serious fight i cant waste MP healing him b:chuckle
