Necklace stats

Why do my stats change drastically when I switch necklace gear from:

Phys ATk-332-389 and Magic Atk.-831-1290 (Bloody Chain).......to........

Phys Atk- 77-77 and Magic Atk.-228-228 (Ring of the Treach.)

Bloody Chain of the Fallen/Ring of the Treacherous craft

Metal Resist. +68 \104
Wood +68 \104
Water +68 \104
Fire +68 \104
Earth +68
Requisite lvl 26 \40
EXP +1% \ Wood resistance +61
Magic +3 \ +2

Both necklaces are elemental and increase Magic defense

To me it seems the Ring necklace has better stats, but I'm a newbie, so what am I not understanding?

    I'm guessing it's because with the new necklace you're losing 1 magic, +3 on the old necklace and only +2 on the new one, so you don't have enough to equip your weapon. Check how much magic you need for your weapon. Hope this helped.
