Hi everyone, I was just thinking: Why not make a second account (an account, not a character), redo the free zen offers like netflix, sell the gold in game for coins, and then transfer the coins to your main account? Is this against the rules? Technically PWI is making money from the offers every time and you still have to level the new account to 10 to get the money. Just wanted to know. Thanks.

So... have you tried those free surveys?

It is like... no matter how many variations on the survey questions you try - "Thank You - But You Do Not Meet The Qualfications to Complete This Survey"...

Some of the other offers require $ or some type of purchase aggreement, or you sign up for a trial account.

I have tried the free surveys and I also get that response all the time. That's why I only do the ones where you need a credit card, and then I cancel after the trial period. That's why I want to make more accounts, so that I can redo the credit card required offers again.

Actually, quite a few of them work if you do them right.
I got 5 gold a couple weeks ago by doing random surveys.

The companies that have free trial offers like that use the Credit information you provide to keep track of you. If you try to get the free offer more than once, they most likely won't allow it.

The free surveys....those you can try as many times as you like.

I still don't feel my question has been answered. I know that the companies can track my credit card, but say I use a new credit card with a new account. I fill out some surveys, do some offers, and I get zen for it. I turn the zen into gold and then I trade the gold for coins. Basically, if I transfer all the coins from that account to my main account, and I do this a few times, will my accounts get banned?

I doubt this will work. I did some offers here and got the free zen. On a completely different game run by a completely different company, while I was using a completely different email address, I tried to do the same offers and it would not let me. The reason was that I had already done them. This was offers that took no personal information.

You can do this with different credit cards, but how many different credit cards can you have? Most people have 1-2, 3 at most. The more credit cards you have, the higher your credit score will be - especially if you end up canceling your credit cards. There are definitely repercussions to exploiting the system. It's not worth it to risk your credit score with something like this.

browser cookies, and/or LSO's. keeping websites from keeping track of you can be quite an eggheaded challenge at times --- and surprising bits of the web start failing for you if you do. (i can't get a jones' blessing from my regular browser; facebook won't allow me to log in without enabling something, i'm not even sure what, which i'm not willing to enable in any event.)

I have my browser set to delete all cookies when I close it and I did the 2nd game over a month after I did it for PWE games. They must track by other means as well, such as IP address.

they may very well track by IP addresses, but my own bet would be LSO's --- flash cookies. those don't get deleted with the regular kind, you need a special browser extension to do anything about them, and they last forever. nowhere near enough people even know the technique exists and is used.

Pretty sure that allowing this thread to remain on their site is a breach of contract with the companies (showing how to cheat them).

Doing this wouldn't really be violation of PWE's rules, but you'd mostly likely get yourself banned from offers system by the companies who run it.

Yeah, it just kind of gets more and more wrong as it goes on.

    ...

I haven't done any of the "offers," but I do a lot of the surveys. Getting accepted to those is all about your demographics. I don't encourage lying, but let's just say that if you or a family member works in marketing, you're not going to get in. Ever. Period.
