What does the Embrace button do?

I go up to random guys and right click their pic and press embrace and nothing happens. does it only work under certain circumstances?

although I suppose it doesn't help that my username is ImaDudeInRL...

    it's like a squad request, the other party has to accept the request before anything happens. (and you have to be of different genders. but i think the embrace button is greyed out if you're both of the same gender, anyway.) so yeah, that user name might tend to make folks less likely to click "accept"...

    if the request is accepted, then the male char picks up the female char. or lets her ride on his back, in the case of a barb in tiger form.

    Or sit in front of them on their lap IF they are on a mount

    The "Embrace" button also has a useful function. When you are out of chi, you can use this option to fill the chi bar very quickly. Both get chi this way.

    Also guy chars can carry girl chars up to places which are difficult to reach, such as for the quest where you have to jump up in 5 minutes to get to the chest in Etherblade (the other races' chests are in places which aren't particularly hard to get to). I just think it's rather unfair that guy chars have no way of being carried up there!
