Do the ticket support staff even read our tickets?

I've submitted a ticket about FPS lag issues I've been experiencing, and attached my Dxdiag. My computer surpasses the minimum requirements, yet I experience lag even with the lowest settings (around 10-20 fps).

They respond my ticket by telling me to change the terrain to completely off. If they had actually read my ticket, they would have known that it IS off since it still lags with the LOWEST setting, so I'm curious to know if the ticket support staff even read the tickets.

*EDIT*
My Computer Specs:

OS: Windows XP
CPU: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6300 @ 2.80GHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240
Graphics Card RAM: 1 GB
RAM: 2 GB

Not the best, but surpasses minimum requirements.

I'm also able to play Soul of the Ultimate Nation (which I think has better graphics) on highest settings with 1920x1080 with 40+ FPS, so I'm pretty sure it's not my computer's problem, but the game itself.

If you have a graphics program like I did (ATI Catylyst) that can force higher graphics in games you might want to turn that off. I had suffered terrile 10fps because it was forcing graphics that the game could not handle. I cut it off and everything is so much smoother, now I only have to worry about actual lag.

Don't worry. Non-automated responses to tickets will be in the cash shop sometime soon. In the mean time, just press the "o" key; it'll solve any other problem you may have.

Alright, I replied. Thanks for the answer.

I'm not really sure if my graphics program does that. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

I have often times wondered if the Support Staff ever actually reads the tickets. Or if they understand english at all.

I've been increasingly unhappy with the Support Staff, as well as TapJoy lately. I really wish I could file a complaint, but thats a joke. Its not like PWE has any type of 'resolution service' like any other decent company that has customer support.

Just checked and made it the lowest but that wasn't the case. Thanks anyways.

Yes we do answer your tickets, with real cyborg pandas. b:victory

West Archosaur lags for everyone, not matter your specs unless you are here in the office with a beefy machine and insane network connection. Even then, when too many people are in the same spot, it will slow down.

When you get asked the same thing tens of thousands of times, we do use templates for some things that solve problems for most of the players. If it doesn't help you, just reply back and we work to try and find out more b:surrender

When you state that you lowered the graphic settings, you have to explain which ones. Using the main slider toggle for all doesn't work, and there are 3 tabs of settings that you can change things with in-game.

Have you all tried messing with individual in-game settings to get a better frame rate? If you are using any nVidia or ATI/AMD control panel forced settings for effects, turn them off and see if that helps.

You can also get slow down if the network connection isn't updating the game quick enough.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Yes I have. I've also tried changing the nVidea control panel settings, but it barely changed my fps (still under 30 fps)

    Any other suggestions?

I have the same problem and I am running a beefy machine. Only thing I can suggest for you is to just deal with it as I have. There really is no fixing that problem.

I'm probably going to find another MMORPG, or stick with League of Legends / Starcraft II if I can't fix this lag problem.

Also, added my computer specs to my original post in case it helps anyone to identify the problem or if people were just curious as to know my computer specs.

out of curiosity, how many other applications are you actively running while playing PWI? Simply having "a beefy machine" isn't the answer to getting 50+ FPS at full screen 1440x900 resolution with everything turned to max details (I clock 90 in CoF Bored room on full details with no other players around, 110 on minimum details). A "beefy machine" that is actively running a handful of other applications is synonymous with a minimum requirements machine running nothing else. If performance is your goal, shut down anything else you have running which is unnecessary.

I personally dont use a Firewall software (my router performs this function against outside traffic) or an always on A/V program (perform manual scans during down time). If you like to listen to music while playing (which I do) you can find a lighter weight application or for even better PC performance, use a standalone stereo unit. Turn off your P2P applications. ETC. in essence.. your in game performance is related not only to in-game settings and GPU software settings. Its part of the whole deal.

Nothing except Game Booster, firewall, anti virus, and mouse/keyboard configurations.

at your own risk: disable the anti virus (exit completely for best performance) or at the very least disable real time scanner

    disable game booster
unless necessary to your game play, turn off mouse and keyboard configuration apps.

    check your performance then

as mentioned though, west arch will always be laggy - even i get only like 10 FPS in west arch. the real test is what you get outside of that area, such as when questing.
