How to survive 'bubble boss' in FCC?

My main Cleric is lvl82, I have about 4200 HP buffed and this freaking boss still kills me (2nd boss in FCC that randomly casts deadly bubbles).
People said I should get ToP instead of 2nd Wind genie heal, but my genie does not have enough affinity. I have Cloud Eruption, 2nd Wind and Holy Path and needs 3 more affinities for ToP. Should I make an other genie with ToP only just for this boss? Would that be enough to save my butt? I even tried with a HP charm but it can't heal me fast enough. Even worse, thanks to my horribly bad luck, it usually bubbles me 2 times in a row when my genie is not ready... I hate that boss!!!! Thanks in advance. b:cry

    With 3.5k hp buffed, and one hp charm, I never had any problems against his bubble (except the fact that he ticked my charm obviously)

    I think you should try to eat Crab Meat at the same time, it should be ok.
    You really don't need ToP; if you are fast enough you can even spam IH just before he bubbles you.

    O_o; I'm going to kill someone! A dude told me I can't eat potions or food while I'm in bubble so I didn't even try... *facepalm* Thanks for the help, I'm such a huge noob.

    pre-stack some IH on you, have wiz/psy heal u, use ToP or 2nd wind.

    2nd wind should be enough if ur genie has a lot of str

    I'm not sure about the eating food thing, but I'm pretty sure you can eat crab meat.
    If you can't, then eat one just when you see the boss stare at you.
    You can also try to eat some healing orb (http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/11333)
    Start eating some 5min before the bubble boss, you'll have time to stack 2-3.

    I think u can't while you are in the bubble, but you can use one when you see the boss turning towards you (as with every mob with random aggro, try to position yourself in a way that you can understand when its going to cast its skill to you). You can also constantly IH yourself between every 2-3 heals to the tank, provided you can keep them alive. Also, if you are in squad with a wizzie or a psy, ask them beforehand to watch your HP and use their healing skills to save your elvish butt :P. Second wind works ok here, no need to switch to ToP just for a boss. Just try to use it in its full potential and not too early where it overheals the damage you took.

    That makes sense. I guess it was a stupid idea to stand behind the tank, lol. I'll test Crab Meat next time and stand somewhere else. b:laugh

    Wow, 4.2k hp and an hp charm and you still die? That's either remarkably bad luck or a bad squad. If the boss ever had an opportunity to bubble me before dying, the wizard would turn and shoot a heal or the psychic would group heal. I never died via bubble though. I'd tick sometimes, but it would never kill me. If you want to make a ToP genie, go for it. It's not going to cost you much to just make a decent one and switch to that.

    Keeping IHs stacked on myself and having a charm is what helped me survive in the lower levels. Just if you get an opportunity between purifying and whatnot, stack IHs on yourself. :)

    boss hits tanks for 1k every 5 seconds or so

    keeping youself ihed is kinda easy here...
    Gifs are hard to make work here

    You can't use potions or crab meat while you're in the bubble (tried b:surrender).
    I usually IH myself from time to time, so if/when I get hit by the debuff, the stack can pretty much keep me alive and the wiz/psy doesn't even need to heal me.Then, after the bubble wears off, I heal up, then stack again, in case I might get hit.I have ToP on genie too, but I only use it if I forgot to stack myself (happens b:chuckle).I never used a charm for FC, because it tends to tick a lot in there imo, especially in lower levels b:sad

    Generally Frozen Shocktrooper isn't too bad. I've survided him at level 75 with less than 3K HP unbuffed. Second wind at the right time is generally all it takes.

    Problem is when he's Frenzied . . .
    . . . that can happen at lower level squads, and is probably the only reason that most FCs are 80+. Even with stacked IHs, and a well timed Second wind it generally isn't enough =( (think each tick is like 1.5K+ at least Dx)

    I have a really hard time with that boss....I hate him. I got a charm and it seems to be working fine.

    This is only true if you are put into a stun- like state. Occult Ice (which I think is the move the boss does, as well as the Reaper in Warsong) has this stun- like state. Using Vacuity Pots before it happens, or the genie skill, Badge of Courage, will keep you out of/ break you free of this state, allowing you to consume items normally.

    FYI: It's always a good idea to try for yourself rather than believe everything someone says to you.

    lol, just needed to practice a bit, I don't die anymore, now others die when boss casts Sleep on me and I can't Purify. :P But now that I am getting higher lvl, I end up in pro squads and people actually know how to heal themselves when I can't.

    Genies can learn skills that make you immune to a certain element like water. Try learning the one that makes you immune to water and when the boss stares at you use it.

    I Ironheart myself through out the boss. When others need purifying, I purify, IH them once or twice than continuing Ironhearting myself. Works well for me, barely ticks my charm, unless he goes after me twice.
