Sanctuary non-factors,your time has come !

Bored in-between breaks at work I decided to write this :

So this will be the Sanc non-factor thread ( made one for RT so I thought about making one for sanc too ) . This kind of thread is one that might upset some people here but don't let it get to you since it's the game's fault , not yours . However if you're one of those people that love game breaking updates & enjoy this sale I will be happy to consider you a complete non-factor that wasn't able to do anything without these game breaking updates ; you're also welcomed to nerd rage in this thread

Like the name of the thread say's , the time for the non-factors of Sanctuary has come!

Unlike RT,Sanc was out before packs were in-game so we can say a bit more here . I noticed when I used to log here from time to time , either on a friend's account or on a random lvl 1-9 toon in order to chat with a few ppl , that there are lots of new names in the server in top TW factions .

Nothing wrong about that , however what was surprising was that so many of those people either new players or old school non-factors now had much better gears or equal gears to players that have played pre-packs and were able to make themselves noticeable without depending solely on the click of a pack in order to make them OP over night . However , despite the massive amounts of rage quits some people learned to adapt and either use the packs to their advantage or try to keep up with & progress by other means such as better farming , merching , CS'ing , play their class better , etc .


Now comes the r8 era where every1 and their mother has r8 or will have soon enough . Some people had it before (great job to them) , some of them just got it now for the lolz to see how it's like and understand how game breaking it is & hate the patch and of course , some of them are very happy about it because they can now finally be a factor with little to no work , whether it's cash shopping , merching or farming ( CS'ing can be real $ work , farming is in-game work , merching is in-game work , all take some effort ) .

Tons of these recent " r8 factors " will still get owned by the people who actually know a thing or 2 about the game and put some effort into getting their gears,skills & lvls however they are now very noticeable no matter how bad they are . I'm sure every1 , no matter how stupid , can at least faceroll on the keyboard or tab -click and still wreck havoc in pvp activities such as TWs & more .

So beware all you PWI veterans that are still playing :

The non-factors have arrived , now in better gears , numbers and more noobish than ever ! Will your server survive the winter ?

    I guess I'm one of the non-factors although I'm not a member of a big faction or anything. I am pretty well known on the forums and I've had plenty of PMs in-game about people seeing me on the forums. In game, people know me from my full OHT set but that's about it.

    Then again, I don't think I miss anything by being a non-factor. Much more fun than having to worry about TW. b:chuckle

    is this your way of QQing that you have competition now on your server, after you ran from sanc to RT due to anni packs? Most of your posts atm are fixated on the unhappiness of the updates. Yes aya, your faction might not be the dominating one anymore >.>;

    I am not really sure where you are coming from TMP, but new names definitely does not mean "new player". But a lot of the best geared players have flocks of alts, for a variety of reasons...

    Rank 8 breaks my build. Unless the Veno gear has really good PDef, like, higher than Nirvana LA... Then I won't be going that way anyway.

    I'm one of the old hats. I level slow, take my time (when I freaking can), read the darn quest logs (good god, the number of typoes and Chinglish words was funny at first!), and when i can, enjoy it. Or enjoyed it.

    I got my Veno up to level 65 before Bounty Hunter existed. I've never used an oracle ever. And now the server is full of idiocy... People who don't understand enough to really PLAY and enjoy it.

    If I wanted to be a level 104 Veno with 3 hercs and a Nix, I wouldn't waste my time or money here, I'd go to a private server where you practically start out that way.

    My last faction fell apart. 170 to 77 people in 3 weeks. I spread 3 of my most played characters out, two went into supposedly good factions. I'm pulling my veno out and finding her a new home.

    I loled at the 'this game is dead' sigs and nerd rage sigs... But you know... I'm starting to think it's true.

    I'm getting fed up with people level 70+ who don't know how to use their character's skills properly, what their ACTUAL role in a squad is, or that a 70 Barb/BM is the last thing you want tanking in BH59 if you have a 79 wiz/psy/veno in squad.

    This games pvp has always been bad. "The game is dead" q_q is already really old.

    PWI caught a disease when packs came out,since then it's been slowly dying although the incompetent medics tried to revive it with the TB expansion and new servers. That only prolonged it's life for a while because in the longer run it ended up causing even more problems than before.

    The medics were recently very drunk and did a fatal blow to the game with the rank sale. Now to prevent PWI from dying even faster they're using their genesis expansion as life support b:chuckle

    I can also see them making a new server again since the game can still be somewhat fun unless you're bored of going through the same things over 9000 times ( I know I am ) till you get to end-game . Too bad that won't take too long now , and that it's worst everytime b:chuckle

    Rank 8/9 will be outdated by the expansion, if not a little later. Lol'ing at people shelling out big money for r9 knowing that any good business model relies on being able to constantly update your "goods". Selling the "end-game" gear now is a sham. CS'rs are just going to have to shell out another $1k+ on this game for the next big thing. Enjoy it P:

    and umg, FW is run by the same company. Those anticipating greener pastures are in for an awakening. Try an entirely different company if you're trying to escape the typical PWE BS. In other news, decent PvP in -removed- may be returning, so if PWE games become utterly not worth playing that option still stays open for me :>

    Kinda agree with Strife. I guess they are seilling Rank gears like they started to sell out all those lunar/oht gears before with anni packs. And after not too long Nirvana got opened. Like a sale on last season's fashion before they put shop full with new stuff. They try to sell out as much as possible as they know that later there might be less people willing to buy them.

    Dream of perfect world ended witn anniversary packs ^^ Reality started after it, where every company just tries to earn more and more.

    Depends on what kind of gaming experience you are looking for I guess. Though they are both mmorpg's with tons in-common, pwi and a.ion have very different feels to them. As for it being near dead, maybe... maybe not. They aren't handing out end game weapons yet so no worries in that sense :P

    Rank wouldn`t be such a problem, now low lvl chars pay cash 2 high lvl ppl 2 drag them through FCC , thus a new hyper noob generation is born, sad to see nowadays lvl 100 ppl with lvl 70 - 80 gears.........b:bye

    Well now things are getting out of hand with all the rubber banding and the servers getting overloaded. People I play with are now getting dc/ed left and right. Arch is known as lag city and the tigers are loosed upon us ever Friday b:chuckle. But I do still like this game and I'm a slow lvler myself I don't have a Herc so wont get invited to many dances b:chuckle but I don't mind me and my friends still have lots of fun. I'm not sure if all the packs have killed this game but it has seem to make a lot of fails among the newer players. One thing they should fix but most likely wont is the out of controled marketing where everything is over priced b:angry.
