Choosing the path of the psychic

For starters I am a quite new in PWI (highest char is lvl 23, cleric) and i have chosen 2 be a psychic instead of a cleric (too buch deaths). So i looked some guides and found some questions about skills and the spiritual cult thingy.

1. when it comes the time to choose to be a demon or sage, which should i choose, cuz i think ill do PvE rather than PvP, Cuz both demon and sage have their pros, cons

2. The "Soul of..." spells. I've learned that you shouldnt lvl those, cuz they dont change when lvled up,but i also have heard that they do change, besides the cast range, mana cost etc... but the sage/demon versions of those skills? Is it worth lvling and then getting a demon/sage version or not?

And all tips for a newbie like me about psychics are welcome!:D

    you can choose between sage/demon at level 89.
    i dont think that you should bother now if (as u said) u are <2x.
    play your psy, see what you want, read the skills etc.
    for the record most psys go sage and usually demon psys have an aura of...failness b:avoid
    (this doesnt mean that all demon psys are fail. there are awesome demon psys and the demon path has some strong points)

    go to the psy section and see what happens when u level then yourself.

    but yeah, sov is pointless to lvl, same with SoStunning, the benefit from SoSilence isnt that great. level sor.

    demon/sage versions have some nice effects, the most importand is the sage sov since it doesnt cost mana so you can actually use in on a barb without him chopping your head off.
    sage sor also is a self-heal, nice for grinding.

    Thnx 4 the help. I think ill keep the "soul of..." skills lvl 1 until i get the sage version. And i think ill go sage, cuz it does have good skills, but what confused me was that the demon version of both vigor buff/debuff is better in mop. But you helped alot and thnx again.
