while doing worldquest i realized autopath coordinates for npc got changed so you don't land on top of some npcs (ready to rubberband) but next to them...

its not quite a huge fix but thanks for it...b:thanks

PS: as always kantorek didn't posted any patchnotes...b:shutup

I noticed it as well when TPing back to OHT to turn in my quest. Not huge, but still quite significant, and is continuous proof that they do fix bugs (somewhat).b:victory

Thank you GMs for reporting this and Devs for fixing it a bitb:thanks

All of the npc's were like that?

If so, thats cool that they did that, but that doesnt avoid the problem of rubberbanding in PvP or PvE.

In other versions (private and other countries) rubberbanding isnt an issue. Obviously they just dont have the time to find the problem that is causing it (which is relatively easy...just buy new hardware with the millions they are raking in)

But cool, nonetheless. If this is true, it shows they are at least trying.

That has always happened to me for various NPCs when I autopath. It isn't anything new. And as of yesterday, my chars are still falling on most NPCs heads from autopathing and having to fly again because of rubberbanding.

Personally, no difference in my game.

um i'd post my thoughts... but i might get temp banned on here again for saying it..... suffice it to say i saw a vid in a thread yesterday... looks like the "DEVS" are all kids. Are there any adults working at PWE that know what they're doing? I've noticed this too and this isn't a fix... it's a workaround cause they can't figure it out. Seriously? How many years has it been now? lol And it's getting worse.. Try diving in the water, it never used to do that b4. Hell i rubberbanded yesterday in 59 on FLAT GROUND!

Eh wel guess i did post my thoughts..... but i didnt' call the devs what i was thinking........... lol

(1): they're Chinese. us western round-eyes can have trouble estimating Asian people's real ages, mostly because of unfamiliarity.
(2): they're working in a computer game company, so they're probably computer geeks. geeks tend towards early career starts, and often have most of their productivity front-loaded.
(3): it was a promotional video for the company; they'd want to show young, pretty people as a way of advertising themselves.

Came back from playing a trial on another mmo. No lag, rubberbanding or glitches whatsoever.

Logged into PW in west arch. Turned settings to low...lagged like crazy, took about 1-2 minutes to run down from BH to south banker. Along the way, I decided to use BM sprint and immediately shot up about 5 meters into the air and stuck there for about 30 seconds trying to drop down. Hopped on aerogear, after 2 attempts managed to keep going.

After that, I immediately felt like charging some zen for this wonderful game. And I definitely have no incentive to ever think about switching games. I can actually autopath to an npc now and not glue to their head, the excellent quality in-game just astounds me. Keep up the great work devs.

I love getting stuck in midair. You try so hard to get on the ground again, but you just keep lag spiking backwards, makes me feel all warm an fuzzy inside. Its not like I have ever thought about throwing my PC out the window in rage.

And then I try running from arch to secret passage on my lil psy alt, and just in between the exploding mobs and the green centipides I start rubberbanding while trying to avoid a mob by running up the hill a bit.

Wrong, all versions of the game have rubber banding, you just don't notice it because they don't have loads of people complaining about it.

i really admire your brilliance, being able to conclude that a certain problem is easy to be fixed without even looking even one line of the program's code! that clearly indicates the greatness of your programming skills. or that your are an ignorant moron that has no idea about coding but whines mindlessly,

I heard the 'rubberbanding' is not a bug as such, just a device implemented to prevent 'wall hacks' and other hacking.

It basically works by assessing whether your character 'got to a place too fast' or 'shouldn't be there' and springs you back to a 'legal' or correct place on the map.

Hence also why it springs you back sometimes when using Holy Path in a TT thru hands >.>

It thinks you are 'going to fast (ie hacking)' and should not be in that spot that fast.

Will have to research this more and find where I saw that info to be certain. It could just be a rumour though.

You guys are all LAZY PEOPLE b:chuckle

sure this is a nice feature for afk-flying, but i like to land by myself...like an hawk getting his prey b:cool

during this long time of playing, i kinda learned to drop from the sky and land just by the objective, (which can be mats, npc, mob or a random item)...

i know that it wont go right every time cuz RUBBER-BANDING could always happen, but i like to drop from 78 high in a rainbow-like fall and land where i wanted to...

that wont give me a flying license, but i enjoy doing it b:laugh

Your opinion. Im basing this off my own experience. Ive played on PW CN, PW MY...and uh...others *cough*. Never experienced rubber banding there. Just here.

    Not my opinion, fact.
Just because one person does not experience the problem it does not mean the problem does not exist.

I for one, have never rubber banded in this version, does that mean rubber banding is not an issue here? No.
