Solo option on Bosses.

I would not call myself anti-social but I do like to take care of things on my own, in my opinion I think it would be a good addition to the game to add an option when you Tab for your FB (or BH depending on who calls it what) to have a solo option that would give people a chance (i.e. lower HP for the boss) to take on a Boss at their own level for a good reward (like a nice mold). Some of my alternate characters I will wait til they hit level 40-60 before even going on boss runs mainly because it's pointless to do them. Just try to do FB 29 with only players at level 29, you need a full party to take him on and you can't win. Most guilds will send a level 70+ to take him out but you get little reward (normally just coin). And on the otherside when you hit high level FB 79+ you have less options for people to help you for these quests just check out all the calls for high level clerics (which there are not too many around who just offer up their services, b:chuckle.
option 2: on the subject just remove the FB's from the cultivation section. Allow characters to progress through the cultivation levels without doing boss runs (using a cash shop charm turned in to the Adapt to progress to the next cultivation) or something similiar. Especially with Assassins out their, they in themselves should be set as a solo player in the game they are not really designed as a party class, more of a sneak in -- do what you need to do -- and sneak out kind of class.

I beg to differ on that opinion. Sins are very good in a squad. Anyone who says they are not has not played one or has played them all wrong. Sins are a welcome addition because they are better DD than a BM (they can hit just as fast and MUCH harder than a fist BM), they can take care of some things that others cannot (killing troublesome shades to avoid pointless killing of worthless mobs at the start of Frost). They may be more PvP capable and yeah most sins are played as PvP'ers but to say they are not squad friendly is very rude to the class as a whole.0

pwi is not intended to play solo. If you want to play alone roll a veno and get a herc and even then you cant solo everything for a simple reason. PWI wants to encourage different classes playing together you can see this by the way the characters are designed. Some skills of 1 class support skills from other classes + greatly increase their abilities. A sin is nice for stunning sidemobs so squad can attack a boss + they got also skills to support their squad members.
FBs give xp + rep for higher lvl players the thing is the total amount of exp is lower in higher lvls so a lvl 70 wont notice 10k exp on the xp bar

FB29 with a full squad of 29-or-so players should be doable, IF everyone in squad knows very well what they're doing. i'd include at least two clerics, and probably have one of them tanking, myself. it'd take a LONG time, but should be doable --- at least, provided the chars were being run by people who'd been there before and seen how that instance works, with higher-level chars. and as for needing a full squad --- gimme a break, that's only six people, it's not some huge hardship.
FB29 with a random pick-up group of 29-or-so strangers who mostly hadn't seen the inside of the instance before and didn't know how to work together would be a disaster, yes. mercifully it would be only a brief one. but that could be said for most any instance, just replace "29" in that first sentence with whatever number...
most guilds send insanely high-level chars to run FBs because most guilds have plenty of 'em, and those chars tend to be starving for the rep that FBs give.option 2: on the subject just remove the FB's from the cultivation section.
they mostly aren't there in the first place. the actual cultivation quests tend to be separate from the FB quests, and you seldom really need to kill an instance boss just to finish your culti. when you do, it tends to be in higher-level cultis anyway, by which time you should know what you're doing.
(some lower-level cultis send you into instances after dungeon mobs, but not typically bosses. those can be hard enough to solo, but not impossible. roll a veno, go kill some FB51 mobs solo, just try not to get jumped by any of the patrols...)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -
