    People of the same gender can not get married in China. At all. Official Chinese government stance on homosexuality is; "There is no homosexuality in China" (obviously gov't self-delusion).



    Ok, let me clarify things a little better. Although the mother company is based in China, PWI itself is based in California, USA. It is not uncommon to come across same sex couples in America, as opposed to the "*** free" China. In theory, it would be fair to allow such activities in an America based branch of the game. However, since it is really nothing more that a rented license, PWI has to abide by the terms of agreement in the contract that they had signed with the mother company in China. Also, in reality, despite how nice that the idea may seem to the GLBT and *** friendly players, it is unfortunate at the amount of close minded individuals that actually play this game. Games are designed as a form of entertainment to escape the drudgery of what we all call life; I don't know about anyone else, but I would rather not play a game and be discriminated against because of my in-game partner, especially if I had to deal with it in real life (not saying I do). There are pros and cons to both sides; but unfortunately, PWI has a licensing contract that they have to follow, or else we all lose this game that we play.
