So instead of making profit all throughout the periods inbetween then and now, someone choose to just hoard their gold? I'd make double what he's making now if I didn't hoard.

Better start buying badges then, when rank goes out the shop youl have a lot of competition and wont rake in the cash you would if you hold out a while.

Hold out a while and miss other opportunities to make money? Bad idea!

I like to hold out. It pays off nicely. Cept for my TT90 top. that got ruined in value. Shoulda sold it last month b:sad

By the time you start to unload your merchandise, I probably made more by investing and reinvesting during the periods you're hoarding.

Gold 300k before, 900k now, so let's say you made 200% profit over a few months. I made 400% my initial amount (about 100m) over the last month and I'm sure Roid did even better.

I can't imagine them being stupid enough to put them back up at full price. -ok; I can.

    @both

My income comes in in big chunks. I get a nice drop or w/e yay, invested and then as soon as its pulled its spent. I dont roll money over constantly making smaller profits. Too busy doing more fun stuff P:

Still, no matter what my original point still stands. Gem value has alterd much more than refine value has (whether orbs are 100k or w/e, they havent gone up by over 50% normal value like gems). So refining is the one thats going to lose you the least amount of cash currently. Hence refine > gem for the OPs cleric friend. If the prices go back to normal at any point, then gems will be cheaper and orbs pretty much the same. You should be able to work out what I mean here.

This is assuming theyre looking for the long run.

Personally il be going to +5, then slots, then+10 and beyond. (For my sin)

Edit: yay for gettign back on topic without even reading a post telling me to xP

Seriously.... what were rank 8 Barbarians, Blademasters and Venos thinking when they turned rank 8?? I'm asking a legitimate question, can someone please answer me this?

For me, the cost of Rank 8 is much less then double recasted TT99 weapon. Also the Rank 8 legs for veno's is the only one that actually gives pdef as an addon (the others give MP lol >_> ) So that's enough reason for me. Oh, and also the ring isn't too bad. I had 2 lunar rings and sold 1 because of the rank 8 ring. Because of that, I regained the lost pdef of the ring with the weapon.

Cost-wise, rank 8 is just cheaper then double recast. I don't know about barb's or BM's though. Didn't bother.

I saw a BM with TT100 fists and perfect rubies in them. Not rank 8 but still pretty funny to see TT100 fists glowing green.

^ That's living proof that the majority of people spamming Rank gear....don't know how to play the game.

    +8 with 2 G8's Magic Atk. 8076-9279
    +7 with 2 G11's Magic Atk. 8143-9346

Minimal difference in damage increase.. thats like wearing a ring that gives +8 mag..

It's a huge mistake because it cost to have the G8's removed if they decide to improve the weapon further. The G8s are lost forever while the G11s are solid additions. It's more of a blunder than the wiz with amber shard in weapon and saphires in armor which could be rationalized.
