Shortcut bar issues

I don't know if this is the right section to post this but I'm having a problem with the shortcut bar. I was trying to kill some mobs when I pressed some buttons by accident. Now when I look at the bar, there's two of one skill. The skill that would be on the first bar would appear on the second. How can I fix it so it's back to normal. I've tried to fix it many times, but no matter what I still get two of one skill like it's locked.

    press the up or down arrows to your right side, (where it has this refresh / cycle button in the middle). Remember, pressing the "~" key or "V" will change one of the bars.

    You can hit the little gold circles next to each bar so that pressing ` or V DOESN"t cycle through those btw.

    Maybe drag the skill off the bar?

    I'm not really sure I get what you're saying, but if you hit the button on one side with the two squares next to each other, it gives you another bar everytime you hit it, until you're back to the first bar.

    If you're not sure of what I'M saying.. go back in the game and look at all the bars EXCEPT the main one with the arrows and w/e. There's a gold circle on the left side. If it's filled in it'll be included when you cylce them, and open it won't.

    Idk how many times i cycled my bars by not noticing i didnt' hit enter before typing... not to mention brining up 15 windows lol. Then instead of hitting a atack i'd dismis my pet or something... >.> Not anymore.

    I have the exact same problem on my cleric's skill bar. I've never had this problem with my archer or veno.

    The problem is: when I drag a skill from my skill menu to the bottom skill bar (the standard/regular one), the same skill gets automaticly put in the bar above it. If I try to remove it from the upper bar, it disappears from the bottom one too..

    Here's what the skill bar looks like on my cleric(lvl12):

    Remember, I did not put the skills there on the upper bar, it got placed there automaticly when I put the skills in the bottom bar.

    I've tried absolutely everything! click the small yellow dot thingy/unclick, cycle through the skills, press the 2 top left little buttons, relogging, dragging skills etc etc. I also tried what people in this thread suggested but nothing worked :(

    I'm really desperate to get this solved, cause it's really annoying. b:sad
    When I got the meaning of melee mixed up:
    'Maj.. Melee ffs.. means I'm punching you in the face 1 foot away!'

    That "upper bar" IS the lower bar as well since it's the first active bar. If you pushed v to change the active hotkey set, it would be blank until you expanded further to reveal the second bar. Same with the third.

    The only thing the bottom bar represents is which of the 3 sets you currently have active. Same applies for the main bar for the 1-9 keys. The bottom (or right depending on where you have it) one shows the active set you can use at any time by pushing the keys. If you expand it, you'll be able to see all of the sets including the active one.




    Now if you want to see a full set of different skill bars, it's slightly more complicated. Instead of clicking the arrow at the top (which expands all possible skill bars), you'd use the button right below it to make the second visible. clicking it again will make the third visible, and a third time collapses the two. Of course, for this to work best, your active hotkeys would have to be set to the first one. Otherwise, you'll simply wind up seeing your second (or third) skill bar multiple times but not your first.

    Also, http://pwi.perfectworld.com/gameinfo/UI/functionbar already covers all this. Unfortunately, the new site design makes it somewhat annoying to find the FAQ. Well... that and the fact that people rarely bothered to read it in the first place.

    The main thing is.. It doesn't apply to my archer's skill bar..
    Then why does it display it that way on my cleric?
    So there must be a way to 'fix' the upper bar. Or hide it in some sort of way.

    Edited my post to add more information.

    That applies to everyone's skill bars. It's just that several people never actually noticed it or messed around enough to find out about it. If you were to fully expand your archer's skill bars, you'd see the same thing.

    Just because kossy's link doesn't explicitly say this...

    Clicking the icon outlined in red opens the whole skillbar and shows the 'active' bar twice.

    i have same problem on my psy... it's so annoying.... V button doesnt work at all while it should...

    the funniest thing ... to change the 1st skill bar on psy i need to swich on an other char from the same acc and change 1st skill bar there using "V" button... then back on psy and ta da... 1st bar is changed lol.... it's obviously a bug

    No it's not. If you expand the bars completely, you'll notice a yellow circle by them. If the circle is filled in, the hotkey bars will cycle through that set when you push v. If the circle is empty, then they won't.







    No offense, but how can you make it above 100 and not know basic things like this?

    Well, my mains are lv 69 and 65 and it happened on my alt and this ticks me off greatly since I try to solve it to not much avail. I'll try to make it return to normal though.

    Levels don't matter anymore and high-levels can make mistakes too, you know.

    There should be an option to make the skill bars simple or branched up, by the way. Could be useful, maybe?

    Because it never happened to us before untill we made an alt that has the problem o.o ghehe
    (and yep, i'm playing this game too for almost 2 years now)
    buuut I 'fixed' it :D don't ask me how, but I managed to get the 'mirror-bar' in the top bar slot, so when I expand my skillbar with like 3 rows it still won't show :)

    ok last night i logged out of pwi and my skill bars were normal.
    i had 3 bars on the bottom and 4 bars on the right side.
    now every time i log in the bars are completely expanded.
    i put the bars back to the way i like it, but like i said, they
    are completely expanded when i log back in. how do i get
    the bars to stop expanding all the way?

    you can press v or ' to cycle through unless you have changed your hotkeys . you can also press the up/down arrows on the shortcut bar. to minimise expanded bars you can try pressing the button that looks like a book or pressing the up arrow above the "book" button untill the expanded bars dissapear

    Is there a way to 'lock' the skill keys or bars once I have arranged? Sometimes in the heat of battle, instead of clicking on the skill I ended up 'dragging' it out the skill box and it disappeared. I would like to 'lock' the skill boxes so they don't change until I 'unlock' them. Is there an option to do that?
