Hi guys, I started playing a few days ago and I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answer to.

1) How do I get glowing weapons, and what are they actually called? I've gotten one from a quest and after that, I had to get rid of it cos I levelled up and got a stronger weapon from the blacksmith.

2) I'm a level 20 Blademaster taking about 60 damage per hit from White named monsters, and I'm constantly potting. Is this normal?

3) I lag like crazy in Archosaur. Is there any way to reduce this lag?

    1. I don't know a lot about glowing weapons, but they're usually stronger than the weapons in the same level. I think you have to infuse some special stones for normal weapons to glow (I'm not sure about this).

    2. Yeah. BMs have rather bad regen if you don't put some points into vit. Ask a fellow cleric to buff you if you don't want to waste too much money on pots.

    3. Well, there are hundreds of players in Archosaur, that's why it's lagging so much. You could try going around laggy areas.

    1. Weapons usually glow because they have shards in them. If there is a number of sockets next to the name of the weap on its info, then you can add shards to your weapon (or any other equipment). Garnets, Citrines, Saphire, and Topaz are just some shards that are available. Each one adds something different depending on what equipment you bind it to. If you have shards, you can bind them to your equipment at a tailor or blacksmith.. (will be under imbue shards or something like that when you talk to them).

    2. Yes potting is normal, especially at your level. I would recommend adding some vit (you can find websites or look through bm class forum for specific builds depending on where you want to go with your bm. I would highly recommend looking this up since bms have several more options than other classes) and maybe adding garnets or citrines to your armor when you get a bit higher level. Another thing that helps me on my sin is making Life Powder. This lets you regenerate hp much faster (I think 50hp every second but I can't remember for sure) and they each last 10 mins. The best way to get life powder is to make it, so learn your basic apothecary skill from your elder. Then, gather nectar and golden herb whenever you see them and use them to manufacture life powder at any apothecary.

    3. It is normal to be laggy in archosaur, especially in the west district, because this is a main city and there are several players there all at once. The best thing is to try to avoid west archo if possible. Another thing is if you look at the top left of your game screen above your health bar there should be a few icons. One of them shows a person with some arrows pointing behind it and if you hold your cursor over it it should say "best performance mode" or something similar. Click this and the game will process less information so it will run smoother. The only difference is some less detail in the surroundings and players will be invisible unless you are right beside them. This mode can easily be turned on and off, so you can just use it when going through laggy areas if you prefer.

I hope this helped you out a bit. Good Luck!b:victory

yep newb questions b:chuckle we'll fix ya right up!

    1) MANY ways to get nifty glowing weapons.... (you shoulds got a nice spear for you lvl 19 call to duty quest {often called "FB19} that glows)
you will notice all gear has a star in front of its name, or two... or three, thats a rough gauge of its quality 3 stars will glow.
"legendary" weapons are crafted from Mold items that USUALLY drop from dungeon bosses
they glow a nice golden color.

Twilight Temple (TT) weapons are made by farming materials from (where else), TT
    they glow green.... usually

Frostcover weapons DROP (BOOOOOOOOO!) in forgotten frostcover dungeon (FF)

and there's Lunar and Nirvana weapons not to mention the rank.. what is it... 7? i think and 9 and various others that glow.

as for your POTTING problem (LOLOLOLOL) until level 40 or so put one point per level into your vit stat, and pile on as much p.def as you can, and after level 16 learn to use your marrow skills depending on your playing style and weapon path, you may wish to stop putting points into vit past 40 or so

as for the graphic lag in arch, on your character portrait, there is a "town settings" button that just displays the bare minimum. helps out a bunch, just remember to NOT log off with the town settings on!

    1.
Weapons from quest rewards generally glow purple. Legendary weapons glow yellow. Twilight Temple weapons glow green. You can learn all about legendary and TT weapons by checking out the forges in front of General Summer.
If a weapon has sockets and you put high level shards of the same kind into it, it will usualy glow or have some kind of effect. Just because a weapon glows doesn't mean it's better then a higher level normal weapon. Glowing weapons are just better than normal weapons of the same level.
    2.
Blademasters have so much variety available to them and their builds. If you don't put anything into vit, you could be kinda squishy. That's normal. But, there are things you can do to survive better.
Apothecary: you can make Life Powder at Apoth by using Nectar and Golden Herb. This heals you some every second for 10 minutes. You can also make Charms at the Apoth by using stones. Best way to get those stones is to decompose gear that mobs drop. Now these aren't the high quality Boutique charms but they do OK.

Use your skills to kill the mobs as fast as possible. The sooner it's dead, the sooner it stops doing damage to you. This means you will start drinking mp pots a lot too. Experiment to find a method that works best for each particular opponent. You will probably find different methods to deal with different mobs. Archer and magic mobs tend to run away while most phys mobs will stand and fight. Try using the bm stun skills.
Actually, this isn't always the best approach. I've heard it's best to not use skills with fist weapons because their dps (damage per second) is better than their damage with skills.

Gear. Make sure you're wearing heavy armor. If you can afford to, check Auction House (AH) for gear your level that has sockets or +def, +hp, or other helpful benefits. Shard with Citrine for +hp in any gear you have that has empty sockets.

The best way to maximize the effectiveness of your healing pots is to meditate while taking them. Press "E", this opens an Actions window. Meditate is around the top left. Click it, take potions, wait minute or so, then start grinding again.

If it keeps getting on your nerves, try rolling a Barbarian character. They have great survivability, but aren't damage powerhouse like bm supposed to be.

    3. Use the Best Performance in congested areas like Arch. Previous answer said it all.

Most glowing weapons are received through molds that get dropped in instances, can be bought from other players. weapons from Twilight Temple glow and some quest reward weapons glow (quest must be completed to receive quest reward). weapons from supply stash glow (you need perfect iron hammer to receive lvl 50 supply stash weapon) there are more such as FF,Lunar Glade, rank weapons but i just read previous posts and they seem to have been already mentioned.

    2) I'm a level 20 Blademaster taking about 60 damage per hit from White named monsters, and I'm constantly potting. Is this normal?
Try upgrading your gear, i have a blademaster on another account and he seems to pot alot, try changing your stat points around so you gain more hp or more damage resistance.

    3) I lag like crazy in Archosaur. Is there any way to reduce this lag?
Archosaur is laggy to most people. try activating best performance when you enter Archosaur to reduce lag and then if you want to you can deactivate it when you leave.

I'm really liking the Life Powder tip, that's one thing I definitely need to do. Same with the Best Performance thing.

But is it really worth getting upgraded gear at my level, since it won't be long before I need to change it anyway?

^Depends on how fast you lvl and your money amount. Since you are new, just get whatever you find as drops. Always check Cat shops and Auction house for cheap gear, sometimes you can find decent ones that are cheaper than NPC stuff. If you lvl slow and can't earn much money, upgrade slightly after lvl60-70. If you lvl fast, upgrade after 80-90 only, that's what I do (only recommended for experienced players). If you can't get enough money for TT and Legendaries, get 3star items (dark purple) at higher lvls. Some of them can be pretty epic for a cheaper price.

But yeah, Life powders help ALOT. You only need a few herbs and can make 5 at a time! I usually farm herbs for an hour and then it's enough for 2 days! Oh and you get a heal skill at lvl29. That + life powders do wonders. xD

1.) Glowing weapons are weapon's that have a glowing effect on them because of their type (like the one's from the supply stash, TT, Nirvana, FF, etc.), or they have flawless or better shards imbued into them which give them a glowing effect.
1b.) To sell weapons you go and talk to a NPC who has the option of "Goods". Click that option and then drag the item into the "Sell" box. When you have put all the items in there click "Sell" and it'll sell it all for you. Then it'll give you the coin for selling the items.

2.) lol for a BM, yeah it's normal. When you hit 29 and get sutra it'll be better.

3.) Ohh boy....good question @_@....Only thing I can suggest to ya is upgrade your computer to the max of everything.

It's worth it. Don't invest heavily into gear yet, but try to find good deals in catshops or AH. At 60, you can get your first TT weapon. That's worth the investment. You can get TT armor at 70. I wouldn't go broke maxing out gear in the 20's, but if it helps you survive go ahead and spend some money on it.
