Palace of Nirvana
Introduction:
The Palace of Nirvana that requires six characters of any class that are at least level 100. This instance is designed to improve either your gear or weapon.
Requirements:
Party of 6 Level 100 Characters
Nirvana Palace Key x1 (Per Person)
Squad:
There are many ways to do Nirvana and this is what i think is most efficient.
1 - Fist BM of at least 4.0 Attack Speed
1 - Cleric
3 - Damage Dealers (Not Wizards or Psychics)
1 - Veno (For Purge)
Bosses:
Tier 1: Inferno Sovereign
Picture
Have The BM/Tank run in and aggro the boss. The boss doesnt have a magic attack only a mana drain and AoE Cancel range skills. Afterwards, pillars will spawn. Kill all of these, you need to kill them in order to kill the boss. Also, avoid the blue circles/rings because they will do 5,000 damage a hit.
Once all of the pillars are dead you can kill the boss. If your squad is cooperative enough you can pull the boss into the hallway and the circles will not spawn on you.
Drops:
Coins
This boss gives a lot of exp. Its good to use hyper on it.
Tier 2: Noxious Sovereign
Picture
This boss is really easy. It buffs itself occasionally just purge it off. It does and AoE Wood Debuff but shouldn't affect anyone.
Drops:
Dim Nirvana Palace Chest
Coins
Tier 3:Vampiric Sovereign
Picture
Ok this boss requires coordination. When you first attack the boss, it will spawn 6 wolves. You need to kill these ALL AT ONCE. Usually a BM will dragon and the party will drop AoEs. Once you kill them all at once continue with the boss. This boss can be a pain to magic/mana based users. Occasionally the boss will drain ALL of your mana.
Drops:
Bronze Nirvana Palace Chest
Coins
Tier 4:
This is where Nirvana Becomes Inconsistent. You have a chance of one of three different types off bosses.
Demonic Tyrant:
Picture
It is VERY similar to the Super-Almight-Slash boss in Frostcovered City. But this one has SUPER HUGE range. Even at max distance on an archer you can attack the boss during it. The whole party has to run as far as possible away from the boss.
The Second boss looks like the Machinoslit World Boss. This one is similar to the boss in frostcovered that spawns the Hands in the Experience room. The white mobs will explode if you kill them. The black ones will explode if you don't kill them. They do 5,000 AoE damage. At around 40% the boss starts AoE'ing like a mad man which makes the boss confusing. Expect many deaths.
The Third "Bonus" boss spawns mobs that will put your Pdef to 0% and stun the hell out of you. This boss is rather annoying. Just kill the mobs as they spawn. But luckily this boss has a 100% chance to drop 2 boxes!
Drops:
Bronze Nirvana Palace Chest
Coins
Tier 5:
This Tier has 2 bosses and a "bonus boss" (which I've never seen)
Ashura Tyrant:
Picture
The First Boss is relatively easy. It spawns giant yellow circles, you can move out of them if you want, but they do 1,000 damage. It also does an AoE interrupt. Aside from that, nothing special.
The second boss is also very easy. It randomly spawns snakes and they walk to someone and poison them. If you kill them they AoE the whole group, so I would refrain doing so if I was you.
"The bonus boss for tier 5 has a special attack where he does a random aggro and has a chance to buff his attack by like 10000% (1-shots anyone). You have to run away if he is buffed until it wears off. The special attack comes when there is a red text saying he is going into a frenzy. His attack is buffed if he has the Str of the Titans buff icon."~ Asterelle
Drops:
Silver Nirvana Palace Chest
Coins
Tier 6:
This Tier also has 2 bosses and a "bonus boss".
The First Boss looks like a Geodude from Pokemon. The Cleric just has to blue ball so the party can survive the AoE'ing onslaught.
Goldwing Phoenix
Picture
The Second Boss will be a Tiny Flying Chicken when you walk in. Get it to Half HP and the real boss will spawn. This one requires alert attention of the whole party. The boss will spawn fire balls on squad members which burn 2,500 damage a second. Just move out of the flame and you should survive.
The Bonus Boss is super annoying and risky. Its a princess like boss. The attacks of the boss are nothing special. But at certain times you will see a redchat. Run to the Newly-Spawned Mysterious Old man with the red glow and you will become immune to its AoE One Shot. Expect Many Deaths. This also guarantees 2 chest will drop.
Drops:
Golden Nirvana Palace Chest
Coins
Last Boss: Vanished Ancestor
Picture
This boss takes one very alert and competent person. The boss does nothing special but it does spawn a mob immune to all elements but it's counter-element. There are chest scattered all over the room. You Need to have the party set to free so the person who kills the chest gets the item. You need to kill the chest that is the mob's counter-element. Pickup the item, target the mob, then right-click the item in your inventory. Just rinse and repeat until the boss is dead.
Drops:
Rapture Crystal (34%)
Uncanny Crystal (60%)
Mirage Celestone (5%)
Coins

Pretty nice but can you change the text size to normal? Its a bit too large. Also it would be best to use actual names rather than saying a boss that looks like machinoslitt.

Also the first boss doesn't drop anything but does give you tons of XP. It's best to turn on hyper for that one boss.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If you haven't noticed, I am a wizard...

Magic Classes are HORRIBLE DD's.
Unless you are doing random drop - inefficient runs, i suggest not to bring them.
1 Archer is equal to about 3 mages DDing...

1 archer = 1.25 wizzies DDing assuming = cash shoping
and archers cant fire healing arrows at me add in the fact that sage venos and any bm with decides can STA that boss..*shrug*
also wizzies and psys build on each other via undine strike whereas archers provide static DD no matter how many you haveGifs are hard to make work here0 -

may want to add that to the guide under "debuffs and tactics* or w/e ya wanan name it
also that really just adds to the wizzie side of this
and since you have a bm in squad already..HF (if that dun work GS i suppose)+undine or 3 spark/sutra
archers has highr base DPS than casters hoever once amps and debuffs come into play wizzies come onto more even ground
also lack of healing arrows is lacking and charm tanking boses is a pain while that cleric fires up a rez scroll buffs and rez's others and suchGifs are hard to make work here0 -

Almost All Bosses in Nirvana Cant be debuffed.
And i have no idea what that last incoherent line said.0 -
An endgame wiz has like 10k dps.
An endgame demon archer has around 17k dps.
An archer with claws about 50k dps.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

this, except archer can easily have 60k+ (~65k atm here)[without DoT]
about debuffs : extreme poison=amp damage= heavens flame, if can do 1 can do others
can always tangling mire, can always self buff frenzy
About which bosses can debuff
1st=can
2nd cant
3rd=can
tier 4 , running boss can, others cant
tier 5, Ashura Tyrant(yellow 1k circles) you can, others can't
tier6 49% hp debuff boss can, nix cant, queen cant?
final=can
additional: its nice to have 2(fist ofc) BM, a fist barb, 1 cleric, 1 veno, and either archer or another fist BM, 2 BM is ideal for HF spam, having veno pass spark to BM or BM use cloud erupt so can HF+Spark= 15 minute runs
also under tier 6 boss the "geodude" one its not the aoe that the BB heals through really, his aoe is a 49% hp removal , what he does it spit fire on the ground(on people like nix) its when everyone is too close together and people are getting burned by 3 fires is when the heals are helpful0 -

Nice guide, but it would be better if the text was normal size - makes it much easier to skim through0

In Nirvana the MP Draining bosses make magic classes more expensive to DD with.
Furthermore, very few debuffs work. The only one that works on ALL bosses is tangling mire - which favors physical DD'ers.
Besides, the uncontested DD'er of Nirvana is a Herc.0 -

Sticky sticky! I haven't done nirvana, but do those who say wizzys have undine strike well...everyone else also has physical debuff skills so ..yeah..0

I'm a NV noob, so sorry, but I have a couple Qs:
1. I'm a 2.5 aps with +7 Deicides. Will anyone even squad me with this crappy setup?
2. Any tips on how a noob can learn NV?
3. Are there any mobs in there, or is it just boss, boss boss etc.?0 -
Nice guide Ryhmeb:cute0
-
This deserves a sticky. Come on mods!0
-
i don't really think that a badly formatted, classist or w/e quide is the perfect candidate for a sticky but that's just me, a bitter psyb:chuckle
the most effient way is full 5aps squad.
veno for purge? nah, maybe for amplify
even cleric could be useless and slow down the squad.
so no, it's not the most effiecient.
also the 2nd boss doesnt drain all of ur mana from what i have experienced0 -

"There are many ways to do Nirvana and this is what i think is most efficient."
She already stated that this is her opinion. If you're absolutely sure in your theory that everyone who isn't 5aps is utterly useless, then perhaps you should attempt to create your own Nirvana guide.0 -

ofc it's her opinion. on the other hand if i make a guide and i say "in my opinion wizzie heals are better than cleric heals" it doesnt mean that it's ok just because i said "in my opinion"
starting a nirvana guide with such a bold statement that it isnt even accurate (would a sword bm be better than a psy? an archer with no -int would be better than a -70%chan wizzie with +12 weapon?) but instead classist/racist without stating the reasons (it's all about aps) is not something i would like to see in a stickied guide.
criticizing something is completely different and unrelated to doing something
otherwise, positive comments as well as negative shall be ignored
ofc, this is my opinion0 -
Well this guide is horribly outdated, and it's even missing one of the bosses from the second to last room. It could also include detail as to which bosses can be amped and which can only be debuffed (there is an important difference to note).
More importantly, however, is the classism involved. You really shouldn't say "don't bring wizards or psychics" - it should be obvious at this point that any instance designed for DPS against one target at a time should primarily be handled by a character with high DPS against one target at a time, but to specifically make an exclusion like that only serves to alienate a part of the population that is already naturally alienated by the preclusions of the player base.
Specifically: if this guide were to be stickied, it would need not only better, updated, more accurate information, but would need to be removed of personal bias. If you take someone's "opinion" and sticky it, you're making it an official opinion. Keep that in mind.0 -
there should be separate guides for different people
Veins could make one for 5aps. it would look -more or less- like that:
- shout for openers
- roll tru it
- repeat
