    Thanks, I guess it says all. Too bad instead of trying to get game back up they are milking the cow to its fullest. I feel sorry for people that gonna buy rank 9 now and after 2 weeks they wont find anyone to kill.

    Thanks for making Rank8 accessible to non cs-er and balancing the classes. With R8, the rest of the class can still stand a chance against 5aps characters.

    Double drop makes most of the farmed mats unsellable... well... people can farm their own gear instead of selling the mats, but farmed gear is obsolete now. b:surrender

    Rank 9 is still quite expensive. The only people that can afford it(even now) are heavy cs-ers that are already crazy geared now. Either way, an average player cannot compete with those people. Doesnt really matter to me

    Well, PvP server players are basically F. over big time. Rank gear players will dominate everything moving, and those that cannot compete will just quit the game. If you don't stand a chance of winning a fight, what's the point in staying.

    PvE players, that's a different matter. Besides dueling the only pvp is in TW. And by now we all know what faction(s) are gonna dominate the TW map again.

    On dreamweaver you can already see what factions are gonna last till the end and which factions get overrun.

    Those that do not pvp at all or do not TW, just quest & grind to get to lvl 100+, only to find that even with their high lvl gear they are crappy to those that CS'd and got rank gear.

    The new expansion will let some try out a new class, keep them playing again till they got yet another toon to 100+, until they finally also realize they'll never be able to "compete".

    Unless you're willing to spend (LOTS of) money on this game, like in so many other failed mmo's, you're better off playing tetris, it already cost me a bundle to get my chars equipped with regular TT gear that it seems a bit stupid to spend more just to say "oh, look how awesome i am, i've spend my last cent on rank gear".

    I don't understand why people keep questioning whether this sale is intentional. They just did an emergency maintenance to "fix" the prices. Good, bad, right or wrong, it's clearly intentional.

    Because the update shows they screwed up the prices once, and because of the sheer logical flaws behind implementing this sale.


    The problem with the update is as simple as this: it will polarize the population. The CSers will be in a rather good standing, able to farm much quicker and PVP better. The non-CSers will absolutely struggle in PVP and will have a lower, slower income PVE-wise.

    ANYTIME you create a huge gap between the "rich" and the "poor" in the economy, that's bad. Money doesn't trickle down to the poor: problems catch up to the top. The poor will become frustrated and quit the game, leaving very few people for the rich to actually sell anything to. The rich themselves will have VERY limited demands, considering they all have r8/r9 gear: doesn't leave much room for improvement for them at ALL, so what the hell are they gonna buy from one another? The rich might not even take the god damn time to do any farming, since what the hell: why bother? They have end-game gear, why would they want TT mats or Nirvana crystals? This means the poor are left with a reduced amount of TT/Nirvana/Lunar avaliability next to a reduced demand, since the rich no longer want them. With both reduced BUT the poor forced to continue farming that gear once they pass up this sale, prices of these things won't even drop; hell, they might begin to increase after this sale is done and no one can buy their rank anymore.


    So basically we have the poor non-CSers climbing a VERY steep hill, all while getting their butts kicked in PVP = they're gonna quit. Then we have the rich doing next to nothing since they already have end-game gear: no farming, no charging of zhen (these sales have also made +10 easier to come by...), just PVP and TW. Even there, they're likely to walk away disappointed when they realize everyone and their mother is wearing the "1337" equips they are.




    An ACTIVE economy is a healthy economy. This update? This encourages half the population to simply give up while the other half buys their "retirement" for ~100 gold. Tell me how on earth this would end well.

    Something I cannot understand: Why so much abuse and angst from people who have already decided that the game is dead? It's a game, not the area around your ancestral home: You can leave, you know.

    Consider the possibility that the rest of us, who choose to continue to play this game, have found something to our liking (admittedly, not everything), or have seen other games being worse than PWI, and hence are here.

    Key observation: Players who can not Cs for whatever reason (in my case, the country I live in) but can put in enough time and effort to farm / merchant and save up coin, or players who can CS only a little bit, are getting a chance through today's changes, to at least partly catch up with the big money players. Does that burn you up, take away your "exclusivity" obtained by spending lots of money?

    Those who couldn't afford to get decent gear before now (not Nirvana, not +10 TT gold, but acceptable mold gear etc), are no worse off than before with these changes. If anything, the gap got smaller. Hooray for that!

    Ask yourself this;
    If everyone that doesn't like the new changes quits, is the game going to be fun anymore?

    NO, it will be full of R8/R9 people = Retarted pvp and ur not going to be able to get a squad for ANYTHING unless you are Rank8/9.

    So stop looking at it from a narrow perspective and actually READ what longknife said, he made some dam awesome and correct points, and actually talked about what would happen if a lot of people left.

    well... with the new guild gears that will be coming out with new expansion... it is better than 8jun armours... the weapons im told do a little bit less than g15 &g16 im told.

    8jun (8th rank) used to be something special... mind you... alot of the items in the packs u get.. used to be something special too.. when u had to farm them (trophy mode capes for example).

    Now.. i think they putting it on sale.. cause.. they know that 8jun will be outdated soon...lol.

    Anyways... 8jun isnt that great.. unless u got the refines to go with it. But... it does help those that cant farm their 99 sets.. from HH or Lunar... I know some of my friends ingame, have been talking about 8jun their alts :D

    I get alot of my infos from a friend who plays on the china test server and gets alot of info from the devs inside... so.. i get alot of infos.. most i keep to myself.. other stuff i share, because she tells me things, that haven't been officially announced yet.. and i dont want to ruin the surprise :D
