I have been trying to get into a BH squad for the past few days. I've WCed, and stood at the Head Hunter asking (every few minutes, mind you, I don't spam like some people seem to love doing) for a squad.

Now here's the QQ part. I'll be standing there, while some other idiot spams "Need Barb for BH!" endlessly for 20 minutes.

Now, I'm a veno, so it wouldn't make a LOT of sense to try getting into this squad when they're asking for a Barb... But... This is BH59 here, and quite frankly, Wiz, Psy, Cleric, and Veno can tank it just as freaking well as a darn Barb can.

A few days ago, I pointed this out to someone spamming away for a barb for BH59, and got flamed back for it. The next day, same thing, someone's standing there asking for a barb every 2 minutes, so I ask if I can tank it for them. No reply.

I'm getting kind of fed up with this... I can wine BH59 and solo it using HP and MP food without a pet, and I'm a dual armor build! I choose not to because of the very heavy cost of HP and MP food, and the wine. I can do BH59 with a cleric and myself alone wined, but there is still the cost of the wine (and I'm cheap, darn it).

The other part of this... If you do find a random squad for BH59, and you do go in... Wiz or Psy can steal aggro from the barb anyway, and tank it while the clueless cleric is still healing the tank, not knowing that aggro has switched. BH59 isn't something I'm looking forward to on my Cleric, simply because this level range seems to be where other player's inability to play their characters has the end result of losing me the most exp. b:angry

And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

    There are only a few classes in the game:
    Cleric
    Barb
    5.0

    Even veno's with hercs are obsolete now(even though herc price has gone up dramaticly). Can't help how stupid the community is becoming.

    I never had that problem then again I would just do it myself unwined back at that level... too much waiting and too much slow pokes b:laugh

    Anyhow your class is fine... 5.0 doesn't become a problem until Nirvana... as you need more than 5.0 to farm TT 3-3.... and those kind of over powered people just are so few.

    That being said I've ran Nirvana with varieties of classes because I'm not a jerk like 99% of those wanting 5.0 only. And I've seen a squad reject a wizard with rank 8 +10 weaponry for a +2 Deicide using blademaster. I left the group because of that b:chuckle

    thats the reason why i gave up on this char q.q tho i have most skills on demon and so on, ofc i could go in nirvana, tts, or anything else with some friends but different timezones make that difficult.
    usually i dont like to swim with the swarm. but here u have no other choice.

    if the bm was 5aps he would have the same dps or slightly lower dps witht he wizzy.

    He would have more DPS with 5.0 cause of perma spark b:surrender

    well, what i calculated once, is that the dps of
    r9 psy +12, full dots = decide +5 5aps bm (with spark) = 6* dps of +12 5aps tt100 fist bm
    not counting bm masteries, extra points from equipment etc

    so i guess that the +2 bm could have more dps, i just wasnt sure xd

    you just met some unreasonable players that all..

    Most of the old school players are willing to take a mage tank in 59. I was always tank on my veno, and I did it a few times on my psy.

    Is it old school if I started last december? I'm only going on a year old, I'm still so young!

    bh59 should be for 80+ instead if bh69 it is crazy hard to find a tank for bh69 they are all in FC so if lvl 80+ had bh59 instead of bh69 it would be alot quicker to find a sqaud and the lvl 70s will not have as much of a problem to find a sqaud for bh69 as it is for a lvl 80+ beacuse almost all the barbs and bms wont be in FC....o sos this maybe a bit of topic

    If all the Barbs are in FCC then why does it always take 20+ minutes to find a barb to do FCC with? Barbs are just rare because they wanted to make 5.0 classes.

    Should be a ban issued to all the 5.0 QQ spammers here. Bh59, a player would be lucky to stack more than -0.1 so obviously all the aps rubbish is purely off-topic. -.-

    On topic, bh59 has always been a little frustrating. I still get pulled into squads to help tank it, and I see lv80+ high-DD arcanes in squad and feel like ditching right away. On Drake and Gluttonix, an arcane should ALWAYS be the tank purely because of how ridiculously easy it is for the cleric. I have successfully healed even archers with a 5 mag cleric on Drake and Glutt, no joke. And if the squad listened it would be fine, but the fact that 90% of players will ditch you or flame your for suggesting it makes it even worse.

    Not quite.

    Then again bh was not around when a lot of them started.

    But my point is, most of the players have this mindset that they must use the cookie cutter squad setup in just about everything. You have those days where it's these people you will run into.

    Can't blame those squads for wanting to "play it safe" and have a barb tank + hp buff for clearing, cause gawd forbid, some nub will run in agro all the mobs in 100m proximity and then run bk to the rest of squad.

    Also they might not be aware that other classes can tank that instance.

    Solution? Instead of yelling "79 veno (or whatever) looking for BH59", wait for someone else to announce they're looking for a BH59 squad, then invite them and yell "4 (3, 2, 1) spots open for BH59."

    Mnom, i have a veno every time i want to do bh59 and dont find a squad i just bring in my lvl 100 friends OR solo it for the sake of being able to
