Fist from lvl 1 for pve. Axe/Fist/Pole for pvp.

For pve you don't need to level any skills except Aura of Golden Bell for self defense + Diamond Sutra for quick heal + Cyclone Heel for speed increase. Maybe Cloud Sprint for escaping and at lvl 60+ Heaven's Flame for its dmg amp. Why? because spark + auto attack with fist is the most useful combo in terms of time+cost efficiency. You can skip all other skills if you're short in money/spirit.

For 1v1 pvp, you need to max all your stuns. Leave all your axe aoe skills lvl 1. Get 1 level of all polearm skills until you get to Glacial Spike, which you should max. The only 2 fist skills I recommend maxing is Cyclone Heel and Drake's Bash.

When equipped with ample chi, first Roar + Cyclone Heel + auto attack + Drake Bash + Glacial Spike glitch (optional) + Heaven's Flame + auto attack + Occult Ice (optional) = Death to any class with equal level and equipment. b:cute

Realy all weapons for pve also. And surprisingly, you left out swords in pvp which are very useful whenfighting magic users. One skill reduces their channeling time, one skill is ranged (you only have a handful of ranged skills and can be guarenteed you'll be froze or slept at range first) and MSS is almost always a 1 hit kill on AA users or at least a charm tick.

As for what skills to level its a good list with the very "general" concept being accurate, but most skills listed are weapon specific which a bm doesn't get into until level 29. Diamond Sutra and Cyclone heel are a great way to quest in pve, but Diamond Sutra is a level 29 skill and cyclone is a level 49. Cylone heel is really what makes fists a decent grinding weapon but you won't notice increased attack speed till around level 5, which is in your 60's. Also, a single spark only lasts 10 seconds and only double your dmg, but doesn't effect attack speed. You get your second spark after level 59

So, still go all path. Learn all your skills. Focus one the ones X_Rays listed, but also realize you'll spend the first 60 levels learning to be a BM without those skills. I'd recommend Drake's Ray for a first hit. Aoelian is great until more reliable stuns come in. Weapon switch for Drake's Bash for longer stuns and crowd control. Learn to love Roar of the Pride, and learn to use your marrows accurately (pay attention to your mobs, its an asset.) Happy Killing.b:bye

Mage Bane is nothing but a waste of a spark. Would probably be better to triple spark + Ice + bow that AA down from range. Seriously.

Spirit Chaser is nice but then again, if you are going to use ranged attack and Drake's Ray is in CD, you might as well just use Farstrike. It has more range and damage although it is a bit slower.

MSS is useful sometimes, but then again, Roar + HF + attacks + Ice should be enough to kill that AA if your MSS would one hit him. All in all, swords are useful but not that useful.

Having the TT90 zerk blade and MSS level 10 can be fun =). It is random, and you feel awesome when you crit zerk 1 hit someone with a blade, lol.
Feel free to PM me for help.

I agree with you that leveling to 100 is not an overnight process; therefore, some skills that are not helpful endgame are helpful during the process of leveling. Your advice is more "realistic" when applied to PWI due to the difficulty in leveling, and I highly recommend them to players in PWI.

My advice, however, was purely based on endgame strategy. Sword skills are obsolete in endgame pk. What I mean "endgame pk" I mean all your opponents are level 100+ with highly refined gears. A wizard at level 100+ with maxed gears + stone barrier can have 10k+ both hp and pdef. The ranged attacks with sword/pole can barely do a scratch. The only time I used ranged attacks is to finish off an enemy, but then the HH debuff bow at that stage is more useful. b:victory
