Coins Glitch

Please read the bug / glitch below carefully. I do not endorse it, but it has come to my attention of a bug which means the game takes coins from players.

There is no reimbursement from PWI. The coins appear to be lost from the server when this occurs. This has been going on for a while from my research. I confirmed this a few days ago and have attempted to inform the dev..... I think you guys know how quick they respond to bugs / glitches. The coins do seem to re-appear if you closeinventory and re-open the window

Anyway, please forgive me for any spelling mistakes and read the glitch / bug carefully. If you are still not sure contact me via PM here or when I am not afk on Server Sanctuary.

Millions of coins are lost this way every day but there is a way to avoid it if you are carefull. If there is a Moderator who reads this, you may want to bring it to the attention to the DEV team as soon as possible please.


Scenario 1:
Player A is trading something to Player B after a Nirvana run ( or whatever ) they have the trade window open on both players. Player C drops coins to buy an uncanny / rapture or anything you like. Now assume for instance there is a full squad Player D, Player E and Player F.
When Player C drops say 100k for example. Player C, Player D, Player E and Player F get the message of 100k/ 6 split ie. 16.6k. With me so far? Ok now Player A and Player B will not get any coins as they have a trade window up and they lose out on a split of the coins. Where the coins go I have no idea. But this is a bug. In theory it should still split coins to Player A and Player B but it does not. I have verified this several times and can confirm it.
Result : Player A and Player B loses out on coins split. They accuse Player C of cheating or lying. Player C, Player D, Player E and Player F don't know what they are talking about and either ignore or black list them for harassment, etc. Name calling on world chat, in PM's, ill feeling created amongst friends, faction-members and so on... Players lose out and the PWI Server wins as it does not credit the Player A and Player B for coins and the other players are innocently duped into thinking they did the right thing!

Solution :
Never go into trade window after a Nirvana etc run when someone is dropping coins for loot. Wait until coins are dropped, then drop or trade raptures / uncanny or whatever like gold mats from TT, Lunar, etc etc etc

Scenario 2:
Player X is dies while grinding farming etc, this can be anywhere. Player Y is in the same squad with Player X but still alive. Now Player X needs a rezz. Player X or Player Y invites a cleric to the squad so they know location where to come rezz. In this example let us say cleric is Player Z. With me so far? ok now Player Z needs coins to teleport to spot or needs to enter the FB / TT instance to rezz Player X. Understand this so far? ok this is the tricky part where te glitch is. Player Y drops 60k coins so a 3 way split is given to rest of squad. Player Y gets a message received 20k coins. Player Z ( cleric ) gets 20k coins to use to teleport, but the dead corpse player X gets no 20k. The system fails to split the coins 30k each to the alive members. Instead it gives 1/3 to Player Y and Player Z and takes Player X's share.

Result : Player X's share of the coins are lost forever as they are a dead corpse. Player Y and Z assume incorrectly it has been an equal split but this does not occur.

Solution :
Always drop squad for a few seconds and drop coins to allow transfer of coins to other people exclude the dead corpses. This way the server does not glitch / bug and steal your split of the coins. Get the dead playerto be squad leader and reinvite the others back after coin split is done for this situation. But if you dropped coins for a gold mat or such the dead player(s) will not receive a share of the split as the glitch fails to do a proper assignment of the coins.

SUMMARY :

The glitch uses the formula that if you are dead as a corpse waiting a rezz no split of dropped coins goes to you. Or if you have a trade window up with another player, both parties in the trade will lose out on coins. The rest of the squad gets an equal split of coins as though as if everyone was alive. This appears to be a glitch but coins are sometimes being split although you may not get a message. It needs checking by an independant source. If anyone else can check and confirm or deny this I would appreciate it.


Yes, I know it has been going on for a while and yes I figured it out only recently. All I ask is that you be very carefull when splitting coins whilst someone is dead or if someone has a trade window up after a run. Better to wait till everyone is ready. But in theory the coding is in error and can be rectified if the DEV team work on it. One last thing, I really want there to be a dedicated beta server. The patches and glitches are more frequent and you need to test out instances and bugs on a beta / test server before pushing them out to live servers. This is common practice amongst other MMO RPG's and it is good practice.

You have a client base and you need to strive to have good quality assurance measures. All I say is that you are severely lacking in certain areas and need to explore this options not only for PWI but ALL other games you have as part of the PWE franchise.
