Xenobeast blood?

I ran my first FB19 yesterday, the Wolve's Den or whatever the Untamed dungeon is called. Quite fun I must say and I was lucky enough to have a more experienced player on board guiding us through the area and offering advices. She explained the basics of dungeoning in PW and while many questions were answered, some remain. I tried looking through older threads in case my question might have already been answer but 16 pages and a headache later, nothing.

The main question is this, after completing the quest (The tablet quest which is started by the Squad leader at the beginning of the dungeon), I seem to have gotten an item called "Xenobeast Blood", a shiny read stone which is apparently used to "produce powerful implements". What do they mean by that, what is it for? Crafting weapons? Armors? Something else? Also, how come myself and a friend both received one after completing the quest but the squad leader did not?

And another question, this time a little more technical. I was awarded a nice looking purple weapon by the Elder but I am way under the Str requirement to wield it. As it is I have 44 and it requires 61 to use it. I've been building myself as a tank (approximately 2 str 2 vit 1 dex each level) and I'm wondering if I should pick up a lot of Str until I can wield it or just keep going the way I am. Would a better weapon really help me tank or is it more of a damage dealer thing?

Oh, one last question (for real, I'm done after this, I swear!). How do you get a new tablet? I noticed a swordmaster NPC by the shrine at the entrance asking for wine or something, does he have anything to do with it or does he serve another purpose?

Thanks for taking the time to read my noobie questions! :)

When you reach 20, and head towards the main city of Archosaur, you will encounter the main NPC called General Summer. In his courtyard will be a number of forges, labelled "legendary weapon", "legendary armor" and so on. Under the 'special' tab for each, you can see the items that can be crafted by using the required number of dungeon blood for each type. Thats basically the main use for each type. There is some debate on the usefulness for the crafted items that can be made with the blood, but I leave that for others to debate.

That Axe will serve as your main weapon for some time to come. However, as youhave 44 str and need 61, and with 5 points per level...mmmmmm. I do know this, i was around 10 points below what I needed when I got that weapon for my barbarian, and never regretted levelling str to get there. My concern though Cerberuss is that you need the base strength of certain axe types, even as a tanker focus, if you going to stay competitive in this game as you go along.

He serves another purpose. In Archosaur you can make wine which, you give to the swordmaster, who then removes 50-75% of the mobs in the dungeon itself. It allows a quicker route to the boss at the end of the dungeon for a party. Not really necessary at the 19 level, but for the longer dungeons as you get higher, its a damn nice feature.

You get new dungeons/ call of duty quests in iterations of 10 from 19 onwards: 19/29/39 etc.

Hope that helps. I'll let an ex MY player explain where I probably went wrong somewhere ^^

Thank you for your reply Baifang, that was indeed a great help. It looks like Archosaur holds many answers and so I'll be sure to make a trip there soon. I'll focus on my Str as well since it looks like I'm really behind what I should be. I've noticed I can't even wear the lvl 20 armor either, too much Vitality I guess <.<.

Actually, Cerberuss, you are putting way too much into DEX. I made this mistake too because I didn't understand guides talking about "enough STR and DEX for dual axes your level" or whatever. What they mean is to look AHEAD at the axes or armor you are hoping to get down the road and work out a plan to get the STR or DEX you need for the mix you want. Since all the tank equipment has a relatively low DEX requirement, you need some points there but not nearly as much as in STR. You should look for a guide that gives some actual numbers for making the kind of barb you want to be, but I think the most common barb builds recommend something like 3 STR, 1 DEX , and 1 VIT . Don't sacrifice the VIT because the HP you get from VIT works against everything while the DEX-based evasion does not help at all against magical attacks (which is the real threat for tanks later).

First of all, please don't necro 2 year old threads to ask a question like this. Better to make an new thread to ask your question.

And to answer your question, 500k is WAY too much. Absolutely nobody will buy it for that price. Keep it under 1k, in the hundreds. Maybe 4 or 5 hundred, but less couldn't hurt either. Better to look around and see what other people are selling for first, then set your price accordingly.

First of all Lairian...didn't you just necro the necro'er?? after 2 years??
He asked a question and ""necro'ed"" and THEN you sir "necro'ed" by answering his question... If you don't like necroing,, then don't answer the question...Necro'er
Plus when you google XenoBeast blood, this is the main thread that pops up, as usal, don't bother replying as I won't be back to check on this thread...because Lairian the "necro'er" answered it for me

No, Larian's response came just a few hours after the necro. You are actually the one who necro'd the necro'er...
