Can't sell to NPC's

I created a ticket nearly a week ago, kept updating it - including a screenshot two days ago but still no reply.

If I interact with an NPC I am no longer able to open my inventory until I next login, this can be any NPC with the 'sell' feature. Obviously I can't sell items as a result but it's also extremely annoying as I also can't open my inventory if I speak to the merchant, blacksmith, trader, etc etc

I'm so annoyed with it and the fact that a solurion as not been provided that I haven't played it for ages, it is also all chars, I made a new one just to be sure.

I have modified my firewall settings to allow PWI and verified files but found no fault, and when I first installed the game, yes, I was able to use the featiure without any issues. I've seen one similar post but he verified files, had a longish lag and tyhe problem went away, not worked in my case. Is there a patch to rectify this?

please! b:cry

Yes of course, thank you for the suggestion - after finding a very old thread Iwhich had not come up on previous searches I found someone with the same problem, which indicated her resolution had been switched to wide screen, she didn't know how she fixed it but said she had messed around with the resolution.. So I switched mine off wide screen et voil;a! It's now working... so anyone with the problem can fix it easily :)

OMG this took me ages b:angry

for information, if you keep updating your ticket expecting a response, it pushes your request back to the end of the queue. when raising support tickets just put em in and wait - posting on it every other hour is counterproductive.

Pointless for some, perhaps, but many PK'ers swear by the safety lock as a means to protect their own items from dropping in combat. I personally feel, however, that the whole POINT in having items drop from redname players was that it was the price you pay for killing non-combatants. Safety lock considerably diminishes risk (the risk now involves a tiny 4% chance for an equipped item to shatter, which is scarcely a risk at all) effectively giving the green-light to RPK. I don't mind PvP, but killing players who either can't or won't fight back is pointless. It doesn't prove you're stronger than they are, only that you're the bigger coward, but I digress.

If you want to turn ON the safety lock, click the little padlock icon below your character. You can pick a time to set the safety lock to (most PKers choose around 1hr) during which time you CANNOT do anything that involves losing items or money. This includes trade with NPCs and accessing the auctions.

It does serve a purpose, but its largely on PvP servers where its been exploited for the reasons I've mentioned. On PvE it's only really useful as a means to safeguard your account from possible fraudsters, but personally I prefer having a good hard-to-guess password and changing it every so often. It makes a much better deterrent and doesn't stop me buying materials for my crafts.
