You need a lot of channeling to see a difference. Not so much on the longer skills, but it's the same principle.

-chan obsessed psys make me like this -> b:cry

our channeling times are too small to see any benefit from -chan.
take our main DD spells: ~0.5sec chan
    aoe spells? ~1sec chan

even with -50%chan the difference will be negligible due to the longer cast times

This , Wiz Veno or cleric , yes those classes could gain big benefits from -chan % , but PSY the QUICKEST cast class in this game.

    this is like ...... duh

You will notice channeling time only with -25% at least and most with Life bubble... Psychics has long casting time, unfurtunately, no -%casting time items ;)

    Use +crit

Channeling is good for soulburn and bubble of life. Only semi-helpful in pvp and doesn't really make any difference for pve. All my -15% channeling does for me is **** up my macros at tiger event. b:cry I agree with Veverka. Use +crit gear, it's better than -channeling.

    Use crit gear???

Forget getting - channeling just to cast bubble of life or soulbrun or glacial shards....

AGAIN...why ppl are to lazy to see the chan time on our skills or read the guides from the sticky section to answer the most lazy questions....i really get disapointed when i see a unecessary post like this!b:angryb:angryb:angry

For someone building up their psychic and looking for offensive power on their leveling gear, +mag and +crit is the way to go, not - channeling.

Meh, i wouldn t say -chan is useless especialy for pvp purpose. My friend got a lot of - chan gear/bonus and i totaly see the difference, but i agree that you ll need to stack a lot of -chan to make it worth it.
It s realy a good option once you are 99+ and can get tt99 gear, just not so much before that, or if you can t handle tt99 price...

As for me, I only have -15% from tt99 weapon, wrists, and set bonus. I'm sure once i get more from lunar rings I will see more difference for pvp. However, a stacked channeling psychic in my opinion does not perform any better than a psychic with no channeling in pvp. Someone with no channeling can still land a well-timed soulburn or heal themselves. They can also still chain a good combination of skills to bring someone down. Faster channeling is always nice, but it's not important for a psychic. If we absolutely must get something of fast we can use tide spirit. b:pleased

So good to see this cleared up for me. I've played several MAG user toons on PWI and saw the difference of just -6% Channeling on them. But as a Psy, my Fiend Rings do diddly-squat. Glad to see it wasn't just me. And what a great relief it is not to have to worry about high-priced and hard to get -channeling gear!!! WOOT!!! +Crit is hella easier to get. (Attendance Notes)
