frostblade skill?

the description for the skill is "breath an icy breath onto a party member's weapon allowing normal attacks to inflict additional water damage"
by saying normal does that mean it only adds water damage to melee attacks? and if so, that sucks, and what use is that to a wizard?

it does suck. Only useful for buffing party members... and even then its not that spectacular.Youtube Channel: youtube.com/user/D2VeT/videos?flow=grid&view=0

that's bull****, wtf pwi?0 -
Yeah it sucks, They need to upgrade some wizard skills.
They should have a Flameblade and Stoneblade skill too. Why not? We have a fire, water, and earth shield. This way squad members can be buffed with the element that is best for the mobs/bosses they are up against. They should all do more like 40% extra damage based on the caster's magic attack. And the elemental effects should be changed. I see wizards fire attacks at random all the time like the type of attack doesn't matter at all. Elemental attacks should do at least like 20% more damage to mobs/bosses weak against that element. And maybe, 20% more resistance to their element. So there should be a very noticeable difference in the damage of an element a mob/bosses is weak to v.s. resistance too.

yes, wizards should have flameblade and stoneblade too, but that'll probly never happen. i just want frostblade to effect the attack power of all attacks, not just melee attacks. i mean seriously, what the hell is the point of giving a class a skill that the class can't even use? its completely ritarded.0

What do you think of clerics revive? Usefull to anyone but themselfs. (Maybe not a good comparison to frostblade but whatever)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Or they can change the skill, & skill description in stead of--> normal attks<--- it can be "All Physical Damage".
When using Dragons Breathe it uses the fire element while causing fire damage.....
Frostblade is used to cover DB when Wizards are using DB on fire mobs........
The whole point of frostbalde is to give party members (Normal) water based attks,
when using the Normal attk icon, ( or double clicking on the mob) etc.
^ ^ ^ ^
Barbs cant use normal attk when there too busy spamming skills to keep aggro from others...
BMs are also too busy when they have to Aoe everything the see...
For Archers its kinda good for us cuz we use normal attk a lot, but when it comes around to our aoe`s (Boa, sharptooth, T.blast ) its um ya. b:surrender
Besides it be awesome to see Clerics Plume Shot & Razor Feathers having a little water damage
Blade Tempest as well b:victory0 -
i got lvl 10 frostblade with a pure bu ild
i agree that the additional dmg is quite small but it is still noticeable for
archers sins fist bms and of course its noticeable on physical immune bosses
@SovereignVis : there are other more important skill / dmg updates missing for the wiz

fyi, magic attack has no impact on the extra damage given to others (its solely based on the lvl of frostblade and the target's weapon).Youtube Channel: youtube.com/user/D2VeT/videos?flow=grid&view=0

Yes it should add damage to skills too, shouldn't it? So I went and added that in. b:cool0 -

Well tell me what skills/upgrades you think we need and I will add them too the list, if they are not too crazy. b:victory0 -

Well, Miz had a great idea on another thread: Make emberstorm dependent upon MP, not HP. Now that could make emberstorm useful (face it, emberstorm is a complete waste for anything but maybe trying to pop a sin out of stealth). My main ideas were that we need a stun breaking wizard skill and perhaps a "sutra II" that gives longer no channelling. Those three skills right there could help us alot without overpowering the class, IMO.0
