Server populationh

Hi, im new at this game (well.. less than new, im just downloading the client) and i would like to know about the server populations, i mean there's a lot of people of the game is like.. empty? :P how many people can a server have and how many are there in the pvp servers. U see a lot of people in main towns '? i was super happy about starting playing at Perfect world but now im a little concerned since i saw a few threads saying stuff like "why u still playing?" and its sad ;(
Wich pvp server is better to start?

    In main city there are about 300 player shops all the time + the non-afk players. Server holds a good few thousand players. Harshlands is the most populated of all servers, depends.

    not really we are less populated than lost city and you cant count those shops most of them are people alts.
