Hey im new to the game and i was wondering if assassins die easily later on in the game.
i like the class and everything but i was just wonding if sins have problems with defence at later game in PVE and PVP and if theyre able to realy kill players within seconds.

Really all depends on your gears, but yes normally Sins die very easy as far as well pretty much anything except grinding.
When you hit level 34 you get this awesome skill called Blood Paint, Regens HP with every attack.
If you go Light Armor you have decent Mag/Phy. res. but over all LA makes you a squishy. Especially since your a full melee class like a barbarian, but lack tons of phys res compared to Heavy Armor. It's a game and I'm proud to be a stupid fail demon barb!
My EPIC Fail Demon Barb has 40k/48k HP and my stat points are as follows:
VIT 552 STR 310 DEX 60! b:surrender0 -
You will be spamming pots/food/remedies/charms until Bloodpaint, doublespark, and Ribstrike...
If you stick with it, you will start to become balance out in your 50s-60s, get really good in 70s, awesome in your 80s, and freaking godly in your 90s and up.Demon_Troll: "takes on the appearance of an innocent archer but turns into a mindless idiot once you hear him speak"

"If you go Light Armor"? Assassin's build is only for LA that's why their damage is base off Dex, you won't be a good sin if you use any other type of armor.
Here are some guides to help you : >>>HERE<<<
Or
>>>HERE<<<
And getting back on-topic in early lvls they die ALOT and you will have a hard time living until you get BloodPaint like what SteelStar said and it will get easier and easier from there when you lvl up to higher lvls since you'll get more moves to survive like Shadow Escape, higher lvl Stealth, higher lvl Focus Mind and Deaden Nerves are some.
and as for PvP, they are great in PvP and when they hit high lvls they can kill just about any class (If you know what you are doing). b:chuckle
Hope this helps! b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

um i just made a sin bout 2 weeks ago and i was so eager to get to level 34 to get bloodpaint cuz people said it was so cool. i got bloodpaint and guess what......i think it sucks!!!!!! it barely absorbs enough hp to keep me alive compared to how much damage i'm getting hit and it doesnt even absorb any more damage when u level up the stupid skill!!!!b:angry idk if i'm doing sumthin wrong or if it's just me but i feel it only absors fair hp if i stand there normal hitting the mobs (cuz i hit faster that way instead of skills) but then the mobs die slower and so i get hit more times b4 they die!!!! i fugure if i can kill em faster with ribstrike and slipstream (maybe bleed) there's no point to bloodpaint. I HATE THAT STUPID SKILL CUZ IT MADE ME GET MY HOPES UP FOR IT AND THEN DROPPED ME LIKE A HOT POTATO!!!! b:cry

This question's answer is easily stated as "Is the Pope Catholic?"
However, leveling up apothecary will help you. Namely making life powders to ease some of your pain. This is, of course, if you don't already use them. You probably will need HP potions still, but life powders can erase some of the costs of leveling and even save your life in some cases. Don't forget level 4 apothecary(I think) has +100 HP regen potions. you can use these even with bloodpaint to save your charms(not in dungeon runs most likely) and potion costs. Interval sins most likely will not get too much out of the MP regens as they mainly just use normal attacks, but no one will stop from making them of course. After a while if you're an -interval sin like 99.9% are, bloodpaint will most likely negate any damage done to you so regens will most likely become useless. Well at least while grinding on normal monsters.
@Demoncin: I've read it really doesn't shine until you can rack up massive crits and have -interval gear. Keep going, it will show it's usefulness in the future.0 -

I meant HA
I'm not saying I will go that route, I personally love being able to take magic damage just as well and physical damage, I'm just saying that it is a workable option.
However, as I said before, you are nothing more than a claw-BM with bloodpaint.Demonicin - Lost City wrote: »um i just made a sin bout 2 weeks ago and i was so eager to get to level 34 to get bloodpaint cuz people said it was so cool. i got bloodpaint and guess what......i think it sucks!!!!!! it barely absorbs enough hp to keep me alive compared to how much damage i'm getting hit and it doesnt even absorb any more damage when u level up the stupid skill!!!!b:angry idk if i'm doing sumthin wrong or if it's just me but i feel it only absors fair hp if i stand there normal hitting the mobs (cuz i hit faster that way instead of skills) but then the mobs die slower and so i get hit more times b4 they die!!!! i fugure if i can kill em faster with ribstrike and slipstream (maybe bleed) there's no point to bloodpaint. Sheesh! Dude, chillax... At your level, you really don't do enough damage to see much of a difference anyway. Somewhere between your 50s and 60s, you will start to see that it makes a HUGE difference (I actually can barely survive even one mob my level w/o bloodpaint) especially when you get your lvl 59 Double Sparkburst and upgrade Ribstrike a few levels.
Hang in there, keep using pots, squad when you can, and you soon will become a soloing godb:victoryDemon_Troll: "takes on the appearance of an innocent archer but turns into a mindless idiot once you hear him speak"

tl;dr: Yes they are. Sins are extremely, extremely squishy even at end game. The only time this changes is if(and only if) you have the money to get high refines on ornaments/gear for HP, and hit 5.0 with a really good weapon so BP will regen a lot of hp/you'll have a lot of hp to take hits from.
here's an example -> Sins will steal aggro from their low 50s from almost every other melee class at that level, and this doesn't change until the 100s where everyone else is hitting really fast but for sins, because their daggers are slower than fists/claws, won't hit as fast without some help from Nirvana gear.
If you can pull it all off though, Sins become a little, just a little, OP.
Example -> Sins can tank every boss in nirvana without heals, because their BP regens so much hp due to the demon spark/refines on weapon.
tl;dr2: Squishy until you get very, very nice gear. Such is the case with most chars to be honest b:surrender0 -
For example a friend was helping me kill Quillhog King lv88 BM and me being lv60 Sin, he hit it with skills and normal attacks while I just used normal attacks the King was about to die and targets me and I die from aggro steal we can outdamage melee classes.0

Are you sure you stole aggro, and didn't kill yourself on the bramble which Quillhog tends to cast near the end?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I'm not pure, and I can steal aggro from my BM faction leader 10 levels above me.
I wouldn't surprised if he actually did steal aggro.Demon_Troll: "takes on the appearance of an innocent archer but turns into a mindless idiot once you hear him speak"

I've stolen from people a fair bit more than 11 levels ahead of me b:surrender
You have to learn how to turn it down to support the other people in squads, while learning how to turn it up to solo and tank stuff. And being squishy doesn't mean death later on...ijs.
And its best to learn about bramble suicide now...I don't PvP, but we were dueling one night and a veno came and brambled everyone at some point...I didn't win anymore after that b:surrender hehe0 -
this is my second post b:victory i'm not really new to the game but i am new to sins. i have absolutely no idea what interval sin is or how to make a sin interval. can anyone please help me out with this? and at what level can a sin become interval?? cuz i hear interval sins hit really fast. what is the fastest speed a character can hit? and how expensive is it to make a sin hit max speed? would really appreciate it if someone can help me with these questions.b:surrender

A competent sin has a hard time dying.
25% overall damage reduction.
2nd life.
HP leech
Two stealths
Quite a few stuns/locks/etc
Makes it quite hard to die.

Sins r the fastest dders ingame
And they have alot of evasion with tidal or focused mind0 -

Focused Mind increases your evasion chance. It is not a guaranteed, damage reduction every hit.
Though I'm sure that you are right, that is what he is talking about, it's not worded correctly. Thus, not entirely accurate.Demon_Troll: "takes on the appearance of an innocent archer but turns into a mindless idiot once you hear him speak"

It gets better later on when you do more damage, and it does help out lower, but you will still need pots.
As for OP, it gets easier as you level up. I died a lot at level 10. I think it was harder then than it is now lol.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

or the avrage player with out amazing gear no i wouldnt say they do.around lvl75 when you get crab meat it can save you most the time. it all depends on your game play tho. always stay behind the barb in bh,tt. in FC yes you might die abit because you will take agrro easy after you lvl your aoes to 10 but you get used to holding back on them. mostthe time in bhs after lvl 75 you can tank a single mob pretty easy if its malee even when its not just time out your stuns and all that keep them ready for ifu need them and if you can makit stleath. the one down fall to force stealth is you cant always do it bc you will kill your sq members.
the main reson i say no they dont die offen is bc when you get 2+ mobs on you all you do is stealth right away when grinding. bloodpaint and spark heal you alot wile grinding and if you have abit of intarve gear the costs of pots is not high. also the mana cost is very low compared to most classes.
so ya the key to not dieing as a side is be ready to force stealth and at lower lvls 7X us cod when needed so you dont die on bosses. also a lil add on grab your self a hp charm in the end its not much of a cost diffrence from pots as long as you play safe it will last a good amont of time and your mp if you get a plate one that will last you crazzy long.well i hope this helped a lil sry about the spelling0 -

Sins suck before level 60, but so does wizards and barbs. After that no you dont die easily since assassins have so many different skills to keep themselves alive. Other Arcane and LA classes dies way more easy than a sin.
You cant get 1 shoot with Deaden Nerves up and you can always Shadow Escape if its gets critical. You get perma hp from BP and than you have Focused Mind so 25% of the times you only get hit for 1 dmg. Only reason you might die in pve is b/c you go afk and pull agro from boss.
In pvp you often have the privilege to choose when the battle starts and when it ends with stealth which also prevents dying lol.0 -

Well, FM can be active 2/3 of the time, so overall it's more like taking 5/6 of all damage, which puts it at ~17% reduction.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.0 -
Yes, Sins will die a lot at early levels if you don't learn how to play them effectively. Which is why they have a lot of skills that helps them survive, go read what each skill does & use the right ones for the right type of mobs. You'll also be using a lot of pots for a long time. At end game with decent gears however, A sin who knows what he's doing won't be dieing much at all. In fact, if you get obsessed with this game & continue playing your sin to endgame lvl, You'll be the tank, best dd, & cleric for yourself.... LOL0

I agree..
Be mindful of your environment.. hunt with back to something.. and kill off mobs on edges of a cluster.
And... make friends... a barbs, venos, bm, clerics, etc.. buffs go along way to keeping you alive.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
