Login timeout (servers are online)

The PW patcher runs fine, version checker does too. I update my PWI version successfully and the start button turns green. Servers are also marked as "online".
Once i access server selection screen, there's no PING shown on any of them. Which, I think, means that for some reason I can't reach the host. When trying to log on my account, i get login timeout in about 20 seconds followed by "unable to connect to server" error.
I uninstalled my antivirus, turned off windows firewall, restarted pc. The problem remains. I'm on dorm net, maybe the error is caused by the main router blocking port 29000. I don't know. Tried pinging and tracerouting to pwieast1.perfectworld.com (harshlands server). Tracerouting on ping.eu website stops at step 13 with an error "No reply for 3 hops. Assuming we reached firewall."

    I don't think anyone knows what the hell this is.... I have had nearly EXACTLY the same problem since the Rising Tide Expansion (Yeah, I havn't been able to play for that long)

    Submitting a ticket was not worth the trouble. They basically said it was my antivirus/firewall etc... of course, I had a really crappy wireless internet back then, so I ultimately quit, believing it was my own internet.

    But now I have Xfinity from comcast (wired) so..... it works fine............... that's what i'd LIKE to say! What gives????

    I had it completely deleted back then and tonight I decided to install it (it was pretty fast...) But I got THE SAME ERROR!

    Also, ALL games from PW give the same error, or at least JD does as well.

    Come on, doesn't anybody know a fix? GMs? Tech support? Answerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr b:sad
