Pet exp at level 100

I just recently hit level 100 and Leveled my Herc while I was doing my BH Snakefist. During that time I saw that the exp I needed to get it to level 101 was 100 000, I thought this was outrageous so I asked another veno friend of mine, who told it was 10k, Now I am confused, Do I need 10k like she told me or do I need 100k like what my herc showed me? b:surrender

    Herc/Nix are 100k for me as well.

    100k for level 101, 500k for level 102, 2.5m for level 103. I hope you like grinding with your pets.

    is normal to need 500000 exp for 102 since if u get 102 you nyx ill just 1 hit everybody in tw at once and will never die..makes senseb:chuckle

    its 100k,u need alot of exp too but u will hit it b4 ur pets b:surrender
    my herc is atm on ~20% or so..i doubt i will lvl him or nix,since i stop playing.
    most of it i got during lvl 100,like 5% was gained in cube but i gave up on cube after 2-3hrs lol

    lol.... you wont level before your pet >_> not to 101 at least. Now with all that xp you need.

    Depends on what you're doing. I threw 75% of level 100 into genies twice already because I hate having underlevelled pets (and yes, they hit 100 as I did).

    Although I wold say that the exp to reach 101 wsn't nearly as shocking as the exp to reach 102. (Characters, I mean, not pets.)

    Regarding the herc specifically, are the stats at level 101+ significantly higher that the hours spent levelling him is worth it?

    In all honesty the herc should level just from doing any form of grinding, which imo you, as a veno, should do. The best way to get this done, I feel, is mobs in the chronoworld maps, minus Moonshade of course, since mobs can be rather annoying, painful, and take a while to kill even for a veno. I don't think it's personally worth spending all that time leveling a herc past 100 or 101, but if you can do it as a secondary bonus to something else, then of course. For instance, while it's not the most efficient route, grind on metal jackelopes or phantom of grudges in Unicorn Forest. You'll collect a very nice sum of DQ, coins, and wraith spirits which you can use, in combination with the Kill 60 Grudges/Jackelopes quests (repeatedly turning in and taking again every 60 of them), to farm any of the five grades of Forest Wisdom or Ence's Scar (you get to choose).

    Thanks for the advice. It wouldn't be quite as bad if there was only 1 pet that I was concerned with, but I have 3 that I'd like to keep at my level (the others would be nice, but I'm not planning on waiting just for them). 300k xp feels like a daunting number even though I know it's just going to get worse.

    Yeah, I guess a more simple answer is there is no outstanding benefit of getting pets to that level. The only thing I could possibly think of in terms of survivability is PWI's penchant for making certain things do 5000 (or 5001) damage, and if leveling him to X level would get him over 5K hp (without the nix HP buff of course as I don't presume most herc owners will bother with this), then that would be worth it -- and I'm not sure even by level 105 that a herc would be over 5K -- I do think it would be close, though. Otherwise, he gets some HP, gets some higher defense, evasion, attack power, much like the same scale of going from level 10 to 11 or 50 to 51.

    Oh damn, sucks to be me then. b:surrender, I've kept all my pets up to my level and now if i need to grind like 50k x 3 for Fish / Fly / Cub + another 200k for Nix / Herc, I'm going to die >_>

    You're right, but things change at lvl 100... if u keep on going to FF, you'll level when herc is ~15-20%... i spent 1 whole day in valley of scarred to pull him up to my lvl, tho i didn't notice any significant change... i regretted it now, if the time spent on grinding wouldve been in nirvana, i'd had more benefit. lvl 101+ either for char or for pet remains a status quo...
