    It depends on how intelligent the help is. As much as people might hate him ShojoS knows that you need either (I dunno which) 600 or 900 points to place high enough to get the bottom reward so he kills about 30 elites and dissapears. Most of the other sins just kill everything.

    If some demon sin goes down and kills 45 of the elite mobs and theres 10 people there, noone else can get the minimum amount of points to even get a reward. I dont mind people going down and helping out, I do so myself occasionally, but people need to think about what they do. Go down and nuke 15-20 Elites for your friend and theyl place high with no problem. And everyone else gets the chance to get plenty of points. Go down and kill everything, your friend gets damn near max points and noone else can win.

    Essentially, this method of doing PQ is as fair as the helper is. And most people who "help" are asshats.

    Not to mention the fact that if someone gets boosted like this, any time they go down without help theyl get ignored, KSd and essentially blocked from progressing because noone likes them xP " - me earlier.

    I know exactly what you mean and thats all kool. Im fine with that. But sometimes the helpers wipe everything out and noone can build the minimum points up. Meaning the helpers simply ruined it for most of the people there.

    I dont think its 1000. I swear the random will roll under that, and if the random rolls for you, you will get a reward.

    Then again I might be completely wrong so lol.

    Then again, if you stick to level 80 and get good gear, you can damn well place high even without help. The one time I've gone to PQ on 80, I easily placed first with almost 2,000 points above the guy below me. Oh, and I started at Phase 2. The reason for this would lie in me soloing a lot of the elites, plus duo'ing a Vastclaw with a low-level sin, which gave me about 1,100 points.

    If I had all of my level 80 gear, plus a Jones' Blessing, I'd be looking at about 50% more damage, which would make it even more hilariously easy to win.

    Personally, I find it pathetic when people bring high level DDs to kill the elites for them. I don't mind if there's a cleric, as long as they're not biased. It's always nice to have have cleric buffs, but seeing them BB and allow their mate(s) to aoe 3-5 elites and get massive contri while practically afk isn't fun.

    I find it kinda weird that there are people who are so obsessed with winning that they actually do bring level 95+ high APS DDs there to kill elites for them. If you want to win so bad, get to the maximum allowed level and get over-the-top gear for that level and pray that there is no one with the same idea doing PQ. If there is, squad them, then you'll get at least in top 3.

You can see that theres no room for anyone else to place with the apparently 1k points you need. A sin in 80 gear with the best interval they can have still doesnt have much chance of wipng the whole pointset out for everyone, theyl just get top place 95% of the time.

    I just want people to realise they should cap how much they help :(

    I tried getting a squad. I tried like hell. But no one there would squad with me 'cause they would "get more contribution solo". Of course, they would always beg for me to heal, revive, and buff them like I'm their heal monkey. It was to the point that I would refuse to revive or buff anyone unless they got into squad with me and stayed there for the rest of the PQ.

    Later got guild involved and since there were a few others in guild around my range too, we teamed up and pretty much always got the top slots. :B

    This actually really annoys me at PQ. It's a massive pain to be asked to squad all the damn time on my cleric like I was expected to help YOU get contribution by healing and buffing you when you're dying because you took on too much and won't even pop a potion to help yourself. It still is a competition.

    Now if you talk to me, maybe help me PK some of the terribad sins and archers that come and try to crash/PK for not being buffed/whatever, I might squad you next go-around. But BEFORE it starts, not after.

    Its less than 900 points to get placed it seems.

    And yay for a demon sin popping up! Was doing okay at 35 elites killed then he popped up and I gained like 100 points more during the entire round. 100 points. Thats 1/3 of an elite. There were 10 people and im hitting everything I hit for 4-6k..... Yeah, people need to learn whats helping and whats ruining it.

    I not going to the next round and most of the other people here wont, because that sin will ruin it for us. Meaning that sin is now going to have to pretty much solo it ALL for his friend. Dig own grave much?

    Dunno who the sins friends was,it was 1 of the top 2 though.

    Oh and to anyone who tries to point it out, im not sore cos I didnt win, im pissed cos I didnt get **** all for my work.

    heheheh, I feel sorry for the sin in your example. Apartently the guy who called him in forgot sins are super squishy and a BM would of worked better xD.

    then again, i've been in squads in PQ before and simply put, they are super easy. But that is because I ususally squad with a cleric, and then go AoE crazy and end up tanking all of the mobs people pull in. Even ripped 3-4 off of a pure mag veno's herc once.

    Last time I went to help a lower lvl PQ squad on my main I forgot I'd set PK protections to off, barraged, and killed everybody in the area + gained 40-something hours of red. b:cry

    And I agree with the other poster who talked ab doing PQ as a cleric. I got really sick of being shunned from squads yet begged to rezz/buff/heal/purify. Oh wait..everybody wanted to squad at boss so they could beg me to rb. Then they dropped me as soon as possible.

    And with the crapload of pots that took per PQ? No, I never felt bad ab asking a hi lvl to help me. ...my max was 8th place I think...

    Guess that comes with being a PvP server. On Sanctuary, clerics, wizards and archers tend to party up and aoe the elites while a BM or a barb pulls them to the aoes.

    But what about overpowered people? For example, I easily placed 2,000 points above the next guy and the person on third place had barely over third of the points I got. I didn't even play during the first phase. Is it unfair that I won by such an overwhelming margin? Imagine, if I used Jones' Blessing, I'd be even worse. Or in a week or two, when I get 1.82 aps, that'll add about 20% to my damage.

    If I win easily due to being able to solo the elites and the bosses faster than the others kill them as a group, does that make me evil?

    I'm a cleric and I'm supposed to be squishy....however....before I hit lvl 80 I would rarely if ever go into a squad to pq.

    Why? because a cleric can self heal and do aoe and do decent damage. I rarely ever got lower than 4th place in rankings. so got great xp.

    When I did sqad...I got diddly crud..because I was too busy healing and purifying and oh yeah my favorite...dying from getting heal agro...and ending up so low on the rankings, most of the time i got squat for xp.

    so....when peeps feel they need to squad with higher lvls to get xp...I feel sorry for them. I mean how pathetic do you have to be to ruin everyone elses chances at getting xp, for the wimpy little bit you're gonna get. O.o oh and nvm what those higher lvls are getting.....which is squat. except maybe a hefty repair bill.
