equipment max dura falls?

i made some armor for my veno and it had 100 max durability and now some parts have as low as 44 as max durability
and no i know the difference between current and max durability so i do not have that wrong
yes i double even triple checked
so what is up?

    Maximum durability on items does not change, it is a hardcoded property of the items. Only the current durability can change.

    There are add-ons that can change the default max durability, but that will be set when the weapon is created (or the "unknown" add-on is identified).

    If you don't believe me, name any item and I can tell you its maximum durability, assuming it isn't modified by an add-on.

    what is up with that?
    and again i do not mean current durability but max
    another item has 44 max durability and it started at 100

    What happens for armor and weapons, is that when you get hit by a mob, the durability goes down from, lets say 100/100 to 95/100. For weapons, it goes down every time you attack with that weapon. Like Sangodoc said, all weapons/armor have set durability, but when you use it, that goes down (like my example), thats why you have to repair it, to max the durability again.

    I'm afraid that didn't happen. You're either misreading something or misremembering something.

    Again, give me a specific name for these items and (assuming that there are no durability bonuses) I can tell you exactly what the max durability is, which should prove to you that it doesn't change.

    If you want to prove to me that I'm wrong, take some before-and-after screenshots and posts links to those screenshots. If they don't look faked then I'll be much more likely to believe you.
