Constant D/C'ing

Since the last patch, whenever I go afk for more than 10 minutes, by the time I come back I find myself d/c'd.

Not only that, while I'm actually in game playing, I randomly get d/c'd as well on fairly frequent basis which has made playing extremely difficult.

Is there any reason why this is happening? For the last several months I've not had a single d/c and as of the most recent patch it's been constant, and I've contacted my ISP about the issue and they said nothing's wrong on their end, not to mention I don't get d/c'ed from any other internet apps I have running, just PWI.

    I am so glad I am not alone. I have even tried rebooting. I cant even open a catshop, bc it boots me. I hope this will be fixed....>.<

    Same here on DW, couldn't even log in at times, i D/C on the "Entering Perfect World" screen.

    Hey, I'm constantly D/Cing as well whenever i log in, I'll sit on the loading screen for a while, then finally get in. after I get in to the game, it will D/C me in about 5-10 seconds.

    It stopped dcing me, its okay now with me. But i dunno if it will happen again :S

    Same with me :S Its hard for me to tank anything now and I cant do my SoT D<

    Run traceroutes to the servers that you play on, at different times of day.

    Look at the hops. Each hop that is 150ms or lower, is decent and you should be able to play ok. If each hop is higher than that, you will have some problems.

    The last hop in the traceroute will timeout because it has reached our server firewalls.

    Compare those traceroutes, and then try to trouble shoot from there.

    Is it your security software slowing down packets?

    Is your router slowing things down?

    Is your ISP throttling your connection?

    Is an ISP on a hop in between your PC and our servers slowing things down?
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
