Hey everyone,

I didn't play Perfect World for a while, so I wanted to play it again, but now I get a graphic lagg when I run the game. The game just runs slowly. Graphics are lagging.
I never had this before, I always can run the game smoothly without any lags, maybe you guys know a solution?

My system specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Processor: Intel Core i7 Processor 2.80Ghz
Graphic card: GeForce GT 330, 2 Gb
Ram: 4 Gb
DirectX: 11

Things I did:
Update graphic card driver (no effect)
Update DirectX (no effect)
Reinstall Perfect World (no effect)
Reboot my pc (no effect)
Reset my pc (no effect)

I hope someone got the solution.
Already thanks.

    Another thing I noticed is.
If I put the detail of the terrain to lowest I got 0% lag.
If I put the detail of the terrain to highest I got 100% lag.

Why is this only with the terrain detail?
I still want this option to high, because I know my pc can handle it.

Processor: Intel Core i7 Processor 2.80Ghz single core processor and not many GHz
Graphic card: GeForce GT 330, 2 Gb ancient graphics card
Ram: 4 Gb RAM is fine, but wont make a difference if the overall PC isnt fit for games
    DirectX: 11

    my response in red.
if you played PW before the genies came out and now uve just came back, thats your reason, i used to play on a single core PC at 3.06 GHz and a GeForce 8600 GT, before the genies came out, i could do 80 vs 80 TW with just some lag, then when genies came out, my PC wanted to die, since your comp is worse then my old one, your going to keep lagging badly, especialy with terrain textures at max, after all, the terrain is everywhere.
so you're best off sticking with texture graphics minimized as i did.

I have exactly the same problem which just started with the latest update. There's nothing wrong with your system configuration and you should be able to use the same settings as before. The drop in FPS from looking at the ground versus the sky is a difference of 5 or 6 with terrain set high and about 60 fps with terrain set low. This happened since the last update so I'm sure your system didn't suddenly become the oldest in the world. Put in a ticket with tech support.

And my pc is not worse, I can play every game on highest detail, but this is just freaky, I always can play perfect world on high and now I can't because of the terrain?

Is there a way to play perfect world in 64 bit?
Because I think it runs now in 32 bit and got a limit of 2 gb ram and if I can run perfect world in 64 bit then it got a limit of 4 gb or higher, so it got more ram to play?

I play on Win 7 64bit with no issues, actually 32bit has a limit of 3GB or 3.5GB due to architecture and memory addressing limit, adding more ram doesn't increase performance, just let you put more programs into memory mostly.

Usually bad coding on the game engine or misplace of the files when the client reads the servers files and loads them (thats why i see those white textures at OT)can give the game's engine issues and can cause slowdown in certain areas depending on your computer's specs and graphic settings but just my saying, anyway whats your computers specs mila58 and IKarisha?

But I don't know sure, but sometimes if I run the game and let it load on the log in screen and minimize it and after 5 or 10 minutes I look back then sometimes it runs just normal and without lag, but if I restart the game or my pc then I need again to wait 5 or 10 minutes before I can finally play.
Aalpeculea en Mila58 try this to and check if it work for you guys.

Yeah it's definitly weird, same thing happens for me. I turn the terrain to high and i get 5-15 fps max. With terrain on low i get 60+ With everything on high, res 1680x1050 Anyone know of a fix for this? My computer should be able to handle it.

Game engine is like that so you can expect slowdown even on a high end PC so there is nothing much you can do about it but just play with the slowdown or play it on low mostly =/.

Don't run the game with patcher.exe but run the game with LAUNCHER.EXE, it worked for me.

I looked up your system specs. The Graphics card is old and cannot run with the settings turned up.

My laptop has a go 9600 and it can't handle it either. Also, the 2GB you show on the graphic card is system shared memory, not dedicated memory. The clock on the core for that card is only 500MHz.

If you want to get better gameplay, don't use a laptop. There is no way to fix the low FPS you'll get if you turn up the settings.

NOTE: The 300-series is just a re-badged 200-series. you really got jipped there.
Also Note, that even if you have the rare one card with 2GB ram, more memory isn't going so make your core speed any better. It's just like putting an extra storage compartment on a station wagon or pulling a trailer to hold more.
Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

This isn't necessarily true. I run a Dell XPS laptop and can play the game in high graphics mode with next to no lag. The issue is more the specs of the computer, not its type.

Allisandre is right. If your video card isn't made to handle the graphics, it won't. This means that putting the graphics to high will slow your computer down immensely, along with the game, and increase the chance that you will get glitched or booted. If you can, I would suggest replacing your video card with a newer model, or, if you can't, buying a slightly better machine.

    Hope these responses were helpful!

Oh my god! Don't you guys read my posts?
I told already from the beginning that I CAN RUN THE GAME ON HIGHEST DETAIL.
And if you also read an earlier post were I tell that I got the game running without any lag.

But the problem is when I got it running without any lag and on the moment I restart my pc for sleeping and I want to play the next day then the game is laggy again!
    That is my problem.

Sorry, must have missed that message, my humblest apologies. Sleeping a PC keeps the whole session saved in the system memory, so you may be having a problem with your virtual memory not being sufficient to handle the game. Try a restart and see if the game still lags.

If it does, you may have to increase your virtual memory.

is this the only game or program that is lagging? did you check your fans and vents?
i know some (desktop) graphics will gimps performance when core gets too hot. i know you have a laptop but i'm not sure if mobile graphics follow the same rule. also if you are having issues with other games or programs running slowly or lagging i would suggest a hard drive test..most manufacturers offer a testing program for their hard drives. my friend plays this with win 7 pro 64 bit without issue. also according to intel the mobile i7's are at least dual core some are quads.

@KrittyCat Restarting my pc is not the solution.

I try to download the latest version of perfect world and hope that will help.

@azteen2 Yes this is the only game that lags, yes I checked my fans and vents and keep them once a month clean.
No a harddrive test is not the thing what must done, because I can run other games on highest graphics and ONLY perfect world not, then is the problem by the game, not my pc.

i7 is only quad core, i3 and i5 is the dual core ones, donno where you got that info from o_O.

Also IKarisha, did you try reinstalling video drivers to see if that helps?
