    Though its not one person only lol, its the entire server or in this case... servers...

    I'd be 100 by now if it was x2 :D lol, 6 ffs a day ftw. (was going to do some more but... omg maintenance interrupting my uni-free lvling rush day grrr)

    Yeah, that would be a month long "fix" if it's affecting entire servers.

    So far, I've been lucky and get the 2x drops. But, even if they did buckle down and tried to fix it, you'd be lucky to get half a day worth by the time it was fixed. ijs

    Sad to say but you're right lol.

    Anyways, hope GMs / devs look this up, I'd be happy with atleast 2 days of x2 (friday and saturday would be incredible...)

    Funny, I'm having no problem with it. Non-hypered 60k off final FC boss, 9 war drums dropping in 1-3, 4 gold mats in 2-3, 4 GBA's in 3-1.... Yea not broken here lol

    They should keep the x2 going until they fix it so EVERYONE can enjoy, its just not fair if like 15 out of 1,000,000 players get to enjoy the 2x event. However one absolutely annoying side affect of the 2x which is not happening like it should is player shop's have raised prices and gold trading values have sky rocketed making buying gold impossible for those of us not 70+ level and or rich and able to pay real money into this game. I do hope they fix it soon, otherwise it was both a waste of time and a way for them to get more like son their facebook. Its sad to see events get mucked up and ones they rarely do even more so.


    And a little off topic sorry but the jungle ruins maze is badly bugged. Fire bounding boxes seem to be slightly larger then the fire itself and sometimes monsters spot you form well out of their detection range. I keep dying due to this issue every time.


    But yeah I should also mention my play time was all day two days in a row over the weekend so yes I can vouch for hte fact the 2x event is not working because in that whole time everything was normal other then player's making prices inanely inflated.

    The switch was flipped for all servers, and it's been done before multiple times, so I don't see why 2x would only be working for some servers this particular time. I'll be sure to check on it in the morning, and thanks for the report b:victory

    2xexp and spirit still works for me.. but dunno why 2xdrop aint. Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning it still was (1 or sometimes 2-3 DQ items every 2nd or 3rd mob).

    But since yesterday 2xdrop aint working. Killing mobs with my 99Barb (Mobs are lv99too) and all i got was like 7 or 8 DQ items within almost 1 hour.

    keep in mind it's still based entirely off chance.

    Even though I've gotten a lot of drops since it started, I have had strings where I'd go hours w/o seeing anything but coin.

    I was starting to wonder if the x2 drops were on as well. I thought i'd do a little experiment and record everything i got while grinding on the carrion vultures. So here's what i got:

    So far i've killed 75 mobs. Out of this i got:
    -37 Dq items
    -14 Pots
    -44 lots of coins
    -1 Armour
    -6 Fungus
    -1 Cyan Jade and
    -14 times I got nothing at all

    Honestly i can't tell whether this is x2 or not b:avoid. I swear the last x2 event was more profitable, but my memory could be playing tricks on me b:surrender

    I think i'll leave it up to you guys to give opinions based on these results lol b:thanks

    The way 2x drops works is the server calculates drops twice for each kill. If there is a 73% chance for a mob to drop nothing at all (as in the case of the mob you used: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/mob/8567 ) that means there is a 73% chance for no drops each time the server counts it, not that the chance for item drops has actually doubled. There's a lot of funky probability math behind this that I won't bore you with.

    To see that 2x drops is actually in effect you must use a mob that has a guaranteed drop rate, like TT bosses that always drop a certain number of total items (by total items I mean all the celestones and junk too) or grind on several thousand of the same mob and average your results.

    It's a lot like the packs (but with much better chances), you can open one and get a scroll of tome or you can open 100 and get nothing but tokens. Each individual time the server generates a random number has the same exact chances.

    Hey guys, I did some testing between the test server and each of the different live servers, and I've concluded that all servers do have 2x flipped on.

    It's a simple test really anyone can do (at least to make sure 2x drops are on). Simply log on to each server with a brand new veno and kill a few mobs. Make sure that all the mobs you kill are neutral i.e. not Weak or Sac Attack or any of that. Item drops are very common in those starting areas, and you'll notice that they consistently drop in pairs right now (though they may not necessarily be the same item). If you do this test across all servers, you'll see that the drop rate is the same in all.


    I also went on the test server (this part you can't do, of course) and killed a few of the same mobs. I consistently received half the EXP and only one item drop at a time.

    So yeah, I'd say the 2x switch is doing its job fine :)

    frankie that's not really how 2x drops works <_< With 2x for each mob you are basically killing 2 mobs at once, each with independent drop chances. If one happens to drop that's no guarantee the other will also drop (unless its a mob with guarantee drop).

    ya um how does a gm not know how drops work? it's totally f'ign random unless it's one with SET drops..... and havign sac assault or w/e doesn't make any difference. btw Frankie if you're going to edit the front to change the 2X to end on Sat, u might want to change it to say it's NINE DAYS so people think you can count. :P

    Btw I have a thread on here I was hoping you'd see...... when is 2X being shut off? same time it started? Sooner? When u shut the servers down for two hours to change the clock tonight? Kinda need to know.
