Log in timeout is 40 seconds ...

I was ingame and all of a sudden the server booted me. When i tried to log back in I got the message .. "Log in timeout is 40 seconds" and then a timer starts, it gets to about 20 seconds and tells me "Unable to connect to server". I've tried restarting my computer and waiting a half hour or so .. and same thing happens. I've tried at least a dozen times but can not log in.

What happened?

    Having same problem to Raging Tide... cant see ping times via server selection either... Was fine yesterday.

    If its maintenance then why dont they update the webpage server status - which says everything online...

    Thanks .. for how long? Is there a page that shows the server status so if this happens again i can check it before searching forums? The only page i found said the server was online.

    yeah ive been having the same problem for a while and at 1st i thought it was maintainance but when i went on the site it said the servers were fine

    Unfortunately, I had this problem around the same time last night. And 12 hours later, I'm STILL having the problem. When is this 'maintenance' supposed to end?

    Maintenance was at 11pm Pacific time (2am Eastern) and lasted for 1 hr 15 minutes. It took another say 15 minutes for the servers to go online.. yes even though the little box had the little green letters that said online..it wasn't. Also.. if you dc'd from game.. try clicking on the little box that says.. force log.. it usually works every time to solve the problem. If your still not getting on.. as usual.. submit a ticket.

    I'm having the same problem that people from several months ago were having. It's the "Log in timeout 40 seconds" messages with the counter. I haven't played PWI in several months and therefore I don't have any idea when it started and how long it's been going on. I do know it's been like that for me for the past 4 days since I've started trying to play it again. Can anyone help or at least tell me who to contact about this and is it still going on for other people as well?

    I just downloaded the game and i already cant play...i keep getting 40 seconds log in time out and at exactly 20 seconds it always says can't connect to server. i dont understand...my internet connection is excellent and my speed is high. why wont it let me play?

    Sorry but to be fair i have just downloaded this game and registered etc..now its taken up my time and DL allowance..and i cant get online with it as its the usual 40 second log in timer ****..thanks a lot...theres no info if the servers are up or down..cheap ****.b:angry

    Please power cycle your network gear and reboot your computer. The servers are live.

    Are they up now? Because Im having same problem right now, these people had. :U Its been unable to log in for hour now. Is it just me orrrrr

    The servers are currently down for the release of the new expansion, Perfect World International: Genesis. Please be patient, as there is currently no ETA for when the servers will be back up.

    Hi there, newby here.

    I read the thread and I'm guessing I simply have bad luck. I'm getting this timeout thingy and I just downloaded the game. I understand the maintenance but my question is: Is this happening often? I mean, will I be able to play whenever I want(or can) or will I be held back by irritating maintenances? It can really kill the enthusiasm...

    Having same prob right now... -.- and doesn't matter which server I want to run. All the time getting that "Log in timeout is 40 secs..." and then unable to connect.
    My net connection works fine and i've restarted my PC, router etc.. everything. The website says "all servers are online" so what should I do?

    im having sorta the same problem all servers are down when i check server list i restarted my computer and my internet modem all work fine in every other game and site i visit but i still cant get in PWI dont know what to do anymore gms give us a response to why we keep getting 40 sec and unables to conect to servers
