sword bm need advice for other weapon paths

Hi.

Im a lvl 73 sword bm user and i never thought i was gonna use other weapons since i love swords and think they are awesome lol but ive been thinking and its time to start using other weapon paths as well except for the swords since its a lot better if u have more weapons and abilities in your arsenal.

So i wonder if i should start getting fists and then later on axes?
(im not considering getting pole ever)

Should i wait til i hit lvl 80 until i get fists or should i get em now? and which ones do u recommend?

    If you want to Frost, you're going to want axes. You'll need 212 str for Calamities. As a sword user you should be fine. Fists are great at endgame, but not necessarily needed before that. Sure you can do more damage, but until you get your triple spark, I wouldn't worry about it so much. Single target damage is nice, but you don't really need to have amazing 1v1 damage until higher levels, IMO.

    It's really a matter of if you're willing to sacrifice HP for damage at your level.

    But do u suggest I get calamity axes now? Or should I wait til I hit 80 and get axes then?

    U said i should get fists at higher lvls when is that exactly? And which ones do u suggest I get? I've heard that Buddha fists are good for 80 but also at my current lvl there are dark flash claws that are said to be good as well.

    I also wonder how I should set my stat points now that I'm about to use other weapon paths because I lay 5 points on dex on even lvls and 5 points on str on odd lvls.
    (I've been following Kniravens sword guide).

    So should I keep setting the same amount points on same things thus far or should I do it differently?

    Would be nice if you posted your stats to us without your gears. Basically, add enough str to get 212 of it at 80-83 if you want to start leveling with FCC/frost (same place, people just use different names for it). Level roar (I hope you already have), Highland, Fissure and HF.

    Your amount of vit is the most interesting thing here, but post the other stats as well. Fists are okay from level 1 but at 89+ those really start to shine. Or actually, when you get interval.

    Without gears my stats are:
    vit 30
    Mag 5
    Str 189
    Dex 156

    Get 212 str, get enough dex to use the sword you want (you can get fists if you want to, only need 159 dex for the TT80 ones) and then rest to str again. If you want to use level 90 fists and axes at 90, restat the vit away at 90.

    I got 70 ish base vit at 84 and I've had it since I hit 80. Using calamities and TT80 Buddha's Fists just fine.

    And get calamity axes as soon as possible? how much do these cost?

    BTW how come u still use em at 84? they better than the lvl 80 axes?

    clean buddhas are about 2mil in AH. And even now im still using calamitys, they out damage lvl 80 axes by far. It lasts until 90 when you can get tt90 gold or 91 when you can get 3* OHT zerks.
    AP classes are a real butt pounding...
