I need help with updating, please help?

Hi all.
I dont knw if this is the right section to post but i've downloaded the game from the website and im new to this game, is there anyone out there that can explain to me how i should update, i've tried lots of times with the automatic updating but it gives me an error.
So please can someone help me :(?

    I don't see why you should get an error with the automatic update.
    Anyways, there is a button when you first open the update patcher.
    On the top left, there is a button that says "Update"
    Note that you should only need to update after each maintenance. :)

    You could also try the manual update.
    To do this you will have to download the patches / you can find them here :
    http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download
    Just scroll down /, then run the launcher and click on 'Manual Update' ( please correct me if I`m wrong, I`m at work atm and I`m not sure if this is the right button/procedure. ) and then locate the patch.

    Now a couple people I play with and myself have been having the same problem. It simply says Update Server Connection Failed, which I know happens on occasion when they're doing stuff with the update server.

    I'm up to date on my patches and have a version match, but the verify option isn't available to us either since you need access to the Update Server to do that. I can connect to the game itself just fine, I just can't access the update server.
