N00B question

I am probably going to get myself in trouble here, but I can't figure this out and I want to keep myself safe.

I recently picked up PWI and have been enjoying it so far, but I am a super n00b to game mechanics and terminology.

I have seem people broadcasting in world chat looking to buy and sell or trying to find prices on "boot gold." What is "boot gold" referring to?

Is it some game mechanic that my level 21 blademaster hasn't found yet? Or is it referring to gold sellers like in wow? Or is it something dumb that I just haven't figured out yet?

    did they add numbers? cause I ain't heard of a gold seller in this game for like a year and a half PWE cracked their heads and they didn't come back.

    Because if they are saying TT 90 boot gold then they are talking about a item thats level 90 and gold as opposed to green (not a cosmetic difference its the name text gold is better then green usually). Its something for end game and near end game. So yes its beyond what a level 20 would have knowledge of.


    Item name colors are

    White- normal
    Purple-3 star
    Green- TT or similar
    Gold - Usually bound item that has great stats.

    Thank you guys!

    That makes a lot of sense. I thought it was people trying to buy or sell "bootlegged gold" so I wanted to make sure I wasn't tripping off nothing.
