I just tried +9 with an ocean orb and it came out succeedb:dirty
Anyone tried +9 with an ocean orb and it failed?

    Everyone uses Ocean Orb for +10. It's cheaper.

    The only time you want to make a +9 orb is for +11 or +12.

    I used 12 +12 orbs to refine my gear from +0 to +12. It worked out nicely. b:chuckle
    100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

    well, I heard rumors that we can't. So, I went to try it ( wanna be a soldier) and hope for a fail. It came out succeed I was just +9ing my HH60 axe.

    Ocean Orbs are intended to be like a more versitle dragon orb in exchange for being expensive as hell. If one paid 70 USD and it failed that would be the worst thing ever.

    You sure must have some insanely oldschool rumors on LC,
    since people +9 their items with the +10 orb since almost 1 year by now.b:laugh

    You can refine down, but not refine up. Can't you do that with any orb? +5 orb will let you refine 100% +1,+2,+3,+4 or +5?

    If both are on sale, it is actually almost break even to +8 with the +10 ocean orb, and it saves you all that combining (something like $73 to +8 with 1* orbs and $75 to +8 with ocean orb).

    Calvin isn't a cash shopper, I'm pretty sure almost all of his refines are from tishas.

    And he was trolling with the HH60 axes. I'm pretty sure he refined his OHT 100 axes.

    Im fairly sure +8ing with an ocean orb is cheaper than an actual +8 orb.

    I was going the route of not going through the cash shop. Its 405 1 star Orbs to make 1 8 star orb correct? average price of those were 95k each last I checked. And Ocean Orbs are 75 gold.

    with the average price of gold around 410kish that would make an ocean orb to be 30.7 mil

    and if the price of 1 star orbs is right that would sum up to 38.4mil to combine up to +8

    lemme know if the numbers are wrong <.> I never paid attention to the prices of 1 star orbs during sales.

    edit: just did the math with 1 star sale, im wrong -waves white flag-

    The one I always use is Lunar Axes. I have no clue why people think I made them from OHT. In fact, they are made from Lunar forge and it is level 100 random stats one. They come out gold 100% with 3 blue stats. There are 4 zerk G13 Lunar axes on LC. In the order of time that they were crafted, Calvin-->Noodles-->Rakuma-->FreakOne.
    Only Noodles's zerk axes have an ugly stats, +mp. b:cryb:cryb:cry

    Oh, those are still called OHT... they're Djinn's Waltz or some ****. You use the Lunar Green and Tome Fragments to make them. Yeah, you have the best stats on the 100 axes.
