Can only see gray hair & faces not correct

When viewing any user in-game besides myself and the NPCs, I can only see gray hair. But if I click on their portrait, it shows their real hair.

The opposite is true when the portrait screws up. The character looks fine (aside from the hair), but sometimes their skin and other characteristics will be completely distorted in the portrait.

(in the 2nd one you can't see the face of the flying person, but it was white and not black at all)

How can I fix this?
