Hello. OK, I know that any class can beats any other class, cause it depends on gear and player skills. But for sure, some classes are better for that than others and are favorites of the fight. So, I have some questions about every class:
1. Blademaster: I heard that Fist BMs are kinda boring because it's often autoattacking mainly. Also, are they good against magic classes?
2. Wizards: Well, they seem to be one of bests PvP class due to their incredible DMG, but they are also hellishly squishy. So, are they still good in 1v1?
3. Venomancer: Veno surely won'r be my main char, but I consider creating her as an alt some day. So, how do Venomancers stand with PvP:
a) without Nix
b) with Nix
And, can you please write me a few pros and cons of:
a) Arcane Veno [Magic]
b) Heavy Veno [Fox]
c) HA/AA Veno [Magic/Fox]
4. Barbarians: They are tough to kill, but how do they stand with DMG? And how good are they against magic classes?
5. Archers: I heard they kinda suck when they fight against BMs, Barbs and Sins.
6. Clerics: Uhm...are they even mean to be PvP (and 1v1) class?

I can't say for really any of them but since I am a veno I have done research on how the veno is PvP and the biggest mistake a lot of Venos make is they hide behind their pets. A good PKer or PvPer will ignore the pet attacking them and go straight for the veno controlling the pet which venos are used to sending the pet out to take the damage then healing it. I know I have a higher strength then most for my level (at first was doing more of a tank Veno then changed my mind haha) but I still have terrible pdef. But anyway, all I'm saying, is if you take the Veno route, make sure to keep in mind that your pet will help you kill but it won't take the damage for you.
I hope that helps a little.
Oh also, one thing that sucks but does happen is if you are a DD kind of person or don't use spells often if at all fighting a Magic Class (though, I'm pretty sure if you're in PvP you're going to use a spell or two regardless of which class you are), it's possible for them to run away from you, cast a spell, run away, cast a spell. That way you can't touch them but they still kill you. (Experienced this dueling lol) And it is very annoying.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

1. BMs can do well against magic classes because they have a skill that can raise their magic defense. I think it's called Alter Magical Marrow?
3. For levels 90 and below, Venos without a nix can do fairly well in PVP with just a Petite Sawfly that has maxed Flesh Ream. As the other classes get higher refines and dmg around 90 ish, the Sawfly won't stand a chance and will just be a one-shot with its mediocre defense and HP. You will want the added HP and defense of the NIX if you want to compete well against other classes after 90.
a) Arcane Veno - pros: high magic attack and defense / cons: low physical defense and HP in human form, can be an easy kill for melee classes in PVP if you don't learn how to kite
b) Heavy Veno - pros: high HP and physical defense, good survivability against melee classes / cons: slow leveling if you start off with this build from level 1 (should wait until at least 80 to restat), low magic atk, arcane users may **** you
c) HA/AA Veno - pros: versatile in PVP, best of both worlds if gear is up to par / cons: very expensive, must rely on gear bonuses, have to switch gear constantly
7. Psychics do well in fighting Archers and Wizards around their level and even up to 10 levels higher if they time their attacks right. Sins are beatable but can be tricky if they attack with a stun+sleep+silence chain (which most do). Having Absolute Domain and Expel on your genie will help a lot when fighting them.
8. Group PVP involves a lot of AOEs, which can knock Sins out of stealth. They die pretty easily when hit.

1. If the magic class gets off the first hit and you haven't switched your self buff your most likely screwed. But if you pop a stun off first then your perfectly fine as you drop their hp within seconds.
2. Wizzy's....To put it simply they are a ****ing "OMG A TRUCK HIT THAT POOR CAT!!" and run. they will usually kite other players, stun/sleep/slow them so they get room to do a channel cast (most people use -chan gear to reduce this to as low as possible).
3. I'll leave this to people who have played a veno past lvl 30.
4. Barbs....Your basic "You can hit me for as long as you like it ain't gonna hurt me." type class. They can take dmg like crazy, even mag dmg. Most of the time their big numbers come from their Armagedon skill which takes their HP and then add's into it with some other numerical values and a prot chance. Only class known to beat a barb is; BM, Sin, Wizzy
5. Yeah ****ing right........
Any archer my lvl will own my BM's *** and he has -int gear =.=
6. I'll allow the other high lvl clerics to take this one.
7. Dude....They can freakin own a BM who isn't paying attention and just Tabbing through targets. And some can even own ones who are paying attention.
8. Oh God, I so wish they did. Took a lvl 100 sin with a PK run once, the group was;
BM - me - lvl 75
Sin - lvl 100
Archer - lvl 80
Barb - lvl 76
Cleric - 85
Plain and simple all the cleric had to do was heal everybody but the sin. The sin was taking on around 5-6 people at a time who were between 80 and 102. Was amazing to watch.0 -
1. Fist BM IS boring, you mostly hit stuff with your fists, using stuff to make you hit faster and debuff the enemy.
More interesting is the fact that Axe BM can stunlock for a long time. If used correctly you may keep your enemy in stun for 20 seconds +. Arcane classes don't stand a chance against that, light armor depends and no way you will be able to kill a heavy armor wearing guy with that.

Actually, sins can be useful in group PvP. If the other group has a sin, I'm assuming you'd reaaally like for them to be able to tell you if a stealthed one is about. Not to mention we can stun runners and do major damage ourselves. (plus if the other group *doesn't* have a sin or detection potions, you can send the sin behind the lines to take out squishies quick that are firing long range)b:victory0

Since all your other questions have been more or less answered by others, I'll comment on the above question.
Don't underestimate clerics in PvP. Just because they have heals and buffs does not mean they can't attack. If anything, the heals and buffs only help them in battle, on top of the genie skills and apoth pots that all other classes have at their disposal. A good cleric is very tough to beat in PvP. They may not have the highest damage, but they sure can survive. Plume shell reduces physical damage by 85% and has a relatively fast cooldown, it's amazing against physical classes. They naturally have high magic def against the magic classes. They have self purify, self heal, guardian light (60% dmg reduction), wings of protection (another dmg reduction). They can sleep you for an obscene amount of time, then paralyze you. They can debuff you of both your magical and physical defense. Added together with heals, clerics have lots of options to stay alive and a lot of options to kick your butt.
Their damage is not the lowest out of the magic classes (I believe veno is). Clerics also have attacks that do physical damage, making them very well rounded overall. If you meet a cleric with high mag and a decent weapon, prepare for at least a heiro burn.0 -

Im terrible at BM but, you do know you can stun lock even if you DD with fists lol?
Just switch between axe and fists for the different stuns, like the Roar of the pride you can use with fists, but the Drake Bash is only for axes/poleaxe/ so on, so when the roar of the pride stun wears off just quickly switch to axes and use drake bash o-o pretty easy when you get used to it, but hella hard to time it right.0 -
Oh yeah I forgot, way to 1-hit AA user, found by my friend when he first played the game:
sleep → mag debuff → spark (2x should be fine) → plume shot
simple but effective
Of course this only works in 1v1.

Yes i know, but due to the fact that i do not wear any interval pieces, my damage done with axe skill spam is higher then using my fists. Some fist BMs even stunlock people with fist only using Occult Ice.Feel free to PM me for help.

Of course this only works in 1v1.
Mag def debuff doesn't help plume shot's damage, you ought to be using phys def debuff.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
