Wedding invitation problem

Hi, is there a time limit on how long there is the ability to invite guests?

Just had a friend set up a wedding earlier today. Still just over 24 hrs until the ceremony and he cannot invite anybody. The button for invite is no longer available??!!

Only 4 people invited so far. :(
