Has anyone made an LA or LA/AA? I was wondering on how this would be put out. Would the high dex help the magical damage? And how would it be if it the veno used arrows? No flames and arguments. This is strictly me wanting to know facts and statistics. =^___________^= Kitty is just curious.

    High dex would not help magical damage, magic damage only uses the MAG attribute. You won't be able to use any of your skills as archer veno, defeating the whole purpose of being a veno.

    You mean dex helping with crit rate? Yeah, I assume it would, you'd have comparable dex to an LA veno. I'm not sure how this is any different than an LA veno other than dumping stats that would have gone into mag into dex instead.

    Ya, the crit from dex. Wouldn't that boost the damage a bit because of higher crits and stuff? Sorry, guess I should've just titled it LA veno ^^'.

    I know of this one veno that did an arcane/dex build.

    She wore arcane, had just enough str to wear her armor and wep and rest was bumped into magic and dex. She had a 20%+ crit rate, around 200 dex, and 2k-3k evasion. In pvp her evasion was her defense against p attacks.

    Um, i think it was a mix. mostly garnet gems, maybe a few citrines.

    I don't remember her exact stats/gear refines, but ill try to calculate it.

    Also note that demon wood mastery doesnt show up on pwcalc so she's still missing a 2% crit. (should be 21%)

    that is funny. actually if you use a bit more dex and less mag you can wear a bow

    This has actually been tried before and i'm sure the relevant discussion must still be around floating somewhere on old threads... The end result was a surprisingly good build until about 3x, after which it dropped fast to become a joke, which it must have been in the first place anyway...

    Now, i fully respect alt builds but this is simply beyond even working for soloing. I mean seriously, if you are going to go for it for teh lulz might as well roll a Bowbarian...

    Actually, if you switch some of the gear around, restat some str and magic...

    The build can use the lunar bow and lunar wand.

    That's just showing how fail the dex build is.

    Just go arcane and shard with G8 Garnets or better, you'll have more attack, defense, and HP than a LA that spent the same amount of money. If you want to gain crit rates, get attendance rings (3% each, equivalent of 60 dex points).


    If you really have the money to support it, get HA if you want to gain more p. def. Because HA has better refining multipliers than AA, you'll get significantly higher base HP once you get past +8 on all your armors.

    The crit rate isn't that great. I have over 200 dex and a 12% crit. Honestly, I don't hit that many. Using magic you'd hit even less since you dont cast as many spells as a melee hits something.

    Meh I'll try it maybe, but I won't squad with anyone with it since noone got it passed 30. But heh, I love challenges x3
