As adults, you ALL have acknowledged that you KNOW that kids 13 - 17 years old play this game.

So, you can watch what you say in world chat to make this game more acceptable to the kids who play, or you can deal with what ever punishment PWE decides to give you.

But know this, you should prefer to watch your mouths on world chat and cut the sexually descriptive chat off while you have that option. That is something that PWE will not tolerate, and we other players should not have to tolerate either.

I wonder what your local law enforcement would say about you speaking to a 13 year old, that way in public.

Personally I think it is sick and people that feel the need to say these things in world chat for all to see should be punished far more then being banned from a game.

If the game was truly 13+ then pwi could do what Gaiaonline does whenever someone comes on their site that is under 13 years old: Ban and freeze the account until that person becomes 13. Because it's a requirement that you must be either 13 or older to play. Having a seven year old is a breach of legal contract. And last I checked lying is recognized universally as a taboo, so that 40 year old would still be a bad parent

Seems to my like their parents do. In which case I completely promote my earlier statements that perfect world is not intended for little kids. I you don't want your child listening to world chat, have them filter it off. Don't bother the grown ups.

Not hide them from it until their 18 and then kick them out into the open leaving them to be shocked to death by other people's language and behavior. Fact is in the real world people say naughty things. It's entertaining.

So I take it you do not have children?

Then you probably haven't ever had you child standing behind you while you are playing a game and you don't know that they are there until they ask what those words mean.

Bad parent is not the case, it is a child being just that, a child. Inquisitive.

The parent should not have to worry about some pervert making a sexual comment in a game that is rated for 13+

Whether the child is 7 or 17 makes no difference. They are still a child in the eyes of the law. As adults you should have the common sense and decency to watch what you say on world chat. It isn't a matter of bad parenting or anything like that.

It is not the parents fault. That is a an excuse, to justify that you feel it is acceptable, for anyone to speak this way in a public place like world chat.

I think it is nothing more then a cop-out and a pitiful attempt to justify speaking to a minor in a way that the world deems unacceptable.

They're just words. They don't hurt anyone. They hear worse in the playground, trust me. Children have to live in our society, created by adults and need to learn to grow and adapt into that society. Sex is a part of our culture and necessary to survival. So they should't be overshelterd anyway. Better to hear something perverted on a game and know what it means that to have a REAL pervert come up to them in the street and be able to abuse them due to their lack of knowledge and misplaced faith that people aren't all disgusting animals at heart. And anyway what's the big difference between a 13-17 year old and an 18 year old or even a person in their 20's? You do know that very few people all over the world are still virgins at 17 right? And that this has been the case for the entire history of man kind... I live in England, here most 13-17 yr olds are sexually active. Yes 13 or 14 is too young in my opinion to actually be having sex but they should at least be learning about it and learning about people and socialising too... not in a controlled restricted and false environment but one where people are free to interact as they wish.

Now, leaving the fun apart, in a little more serious remark; I understand your point completely Florena, and I share it, but u are not doing any good by placing this on the forums, and specially cause u started your post threatening the users, that's what we call in the forums a flame bait ( specifying this 'cause I think u are not used to this kind of forums). Ppl on this forums, most of the time, hide behind their characters; as soon as they sit in front of the monitor, they put on their smart-*** mask, and their "Im never wrong" glasses.

I sincerely doubt your kids are absolutely required to play this game. Why are you encouraging children to play online games in the first place? It's a deadly addiction if not handled properly. To the OP...

There are two features in-game that will help you immensely:

1. Blacklist. If you or your children see things you object to, you can simply right click that person's name and blacklist them. This is what I have done with quite a few people.

2. You can also turn off world chat.

Do keep in mind though, you can't protect them from everything. Especially not on the internet and especially not with teenagers. It's naive to think so. However, it's not the end of the world if they are exposed to such things. I started reading **** at the age of 12 with many thanks to the internet and, well, I'm 18 now. I think I turned out okay.

Also, don't mind the trolls.

IMHO, I think you just a bad mother to play a game and instead of taking care of RL issues.
Thats not me saying an adult shoult not enjoy their lifes either way they want, its just that playing a game instead of taking care of your child, work etc is worse then what you saying.
I know ppl who playing this game and when they son wake up they go like:"**** he just woke up wait a sec" or "Brad go away Im doing something".
My only guess you will be one of those parents, which is actually sad.
